And if Pat Watkins isn't giving up 3 TD's a game, maybe we aren't in a friggin wild and crazy shootout against the NFL's best offense on their hometurf, and trying to force throws into a blitzing defense that knows we have no choice but to throw. Bledsoe shouldn't have needed to throw a single pass in the the 4th quarter. We should have been up at least 2 TDs, likely 3, and we should have been running out the clock. Instead we're trying to play a fastbreak basketball game against a team that was designed and built to win fastbreak basketball games.
But of course fans are going to complain and cry all week about the quarterback and the offense, because that's what fans do. Its something they can get their hands around .. If we just change QB, everything will fix itself, and then we can overcome Pat Watkins giving up 3 easy TD's a game, and we win 34-31 shootouts against the NFL's #1 offense on the road, even though that's not what this team was built to do.
