I like Bledsoe, always have wondered why he has not had better seasons. He looks to be in terrific shape in camp. I see him being an above average QB this year and Romo backing him up.
I can buy that...especially with what I read about Henson and his showing in yesterday's practice.

Actually i dont think Bledsoe ever liked playing in Buffalo when tey traded away PRice, after the 2002 season he just went down field, He had no downfield threat he had no TE and he had no OL, i dont think he really wanted to be there anymore.

I would like better but I have faith in him. If he can put up decent numbers say 3300 yds with 20TDs and 12 Ints with a decent ypc then that's all we need. He should have the savy to make the right throws at the right time and he definitely can stretch the field. But I'll feel better when he shows me.

I keep hearing this that the Bills o-line last year was a collection of turds... what proof of this do we have?

It sounds more like a handy excuse for rationalizing that Bledsoe was only .2 better than Vinny last year even though Bledsoe had the better running game, better receivers and a defense and special teams that not only kept giving superior field position but put a ton of points on the board to assist the offense.
Well,

Do you think our Oline last year was decent at best at pass protection?

Bledsoe was sacked more than Vinny, and regardless of what many think, I'll take Bledsoe's mobility any day against Vinny. So will Parcells as he has stated.

Now, do you agree that adding a pro bowler to the line and getting more experience for Al will improve our Oline? Well, then, it is a much better line than what he has had in Buffalo.

Now, you didn't address the weapons comment. Do you agree he has more and options at Dallas?

Yes our O-line was decent in pass protection in my opinion. And Bledsoe was sacked at a higher rate in Buffalo but it wasn't much higher. I won't buy into the "Bledsoe has more mobility than" stuff until I see it on the field.

Again, let's see the line perform this year instead of proclaiming it hot stuff on paper.

Buffalo has superior WR's to ours. McGahee is at least as good as Julius Jones. Our TE is of course better than theirs but I'm not ready to proclaim our weapons better than what Bledsoe had last year. By the way Campbell (Buffalo's TE) had 3 TD receptions in one game--- that isn't bad.

So I don't think you've proved any points yet Ken.

Let's play some games and see what happens-- OK?

Bledso was sacked at a MUCH higher rate than VT when you factor in the # of pass plays Dallas had vs what Buffalo had.

While Buffalo's starting WRs are better, our WRs are better overall.

You do understand that Buffalo didn't have another player over 20 catches after Evan and Moulds, right? Evans only had about 45 catches too.

McGahee is good- very good. I just wouldn't call him a playmaker. He is a workhorse who can carry the load. Julius is going to rack up some yards in the passing game.

Oh, there TE's are bad. One game does not a season make. I would take Dan Campbell over anyone they have.

I think I have proved my points very well. Just because you take the "let's wait and see" attitude, doesn't mean the stats are any different.

I could care less for Bledsoe.....not a fan of his....just like Vinny. I will cheerr for him only cause he is a Cowboy....I much rather see Romo or Henson start this year.

We keep putting in retreads to achieve a 8-8 record....doesn't make sense for me....

Are you saying we will have a better record with QB's of no or very little (1/2 a game) experience :) . It is a win now league. Yes BP is building for the future for hoping to have a long run of winning seasons, and not 'one hit wonders'. But also you need to put the best team to win on the field.

I would like to see Henson in there also, but not at the expense of losing games. Let's see what Bledsoe does. Even if it may not be his fault if we lose, but he will be blamed just like Vinny. There will be many 'I told you so' threads win or lose. I was a Quincy fan, then when Hutch replaced him, I was a Hutch fan, then Vinny, now Bledsoe. Guess I am a Dallas Cowboy fan.

Honestly BW if Bledsoe gave us 3,200 yards, 20TD's and 14Ints, I would be pleased with that.

I'd be shocked, but very pleased too MW!!!

I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum. I would not be suprised if Bledsoe breaks Danny Whites record for passing yards in a sesaon. Not suprised at all.

And just maybe Bledsoe was sacked at a much higher rate because:
A. He's less mobile.
B. He holds the ball longer.

Retread or not. IMHO, Drew Bledsoe definitely upgrades the QB position better than any QB we have had since the declining years with Aikman in 99' & 2000. I am thankful Bledsoe is in Dallas. What he did in Buffalo is the past. Drew is with the coach who set his career on fire... made him a household name. Parcells knows Drew better than any coordinator or coach in the league. That in itself is a plus.

I have every reason to believe that with that chip on his shoulder, and everything to prove, that Drew will be one of the NFL's biggest surprises this year.

Bills guys and Canadians
You were 3-13 pre Drew Bledsoe.

You're going right back there.

My money is on Parcells and Bledsoe!

Mobility. Is he a runningback or a quarterback. Fouts was a statue. Do you hear anyone talking about Fouts lack of mobility. A QB's job is to throw the ball. Bills fans are going to find out just how overrated mobility is this season. They will be screaming for Bledsoe when they see the trainwreck that is J. P. Loseman and their fall to 5-11. But, they will have a "mobile" QB. :(

Waht would you do Sarge? Start Henson? Henson looked pretty bad yesterday from most peoples opinions. Let's hope he looks better today, but could you imagine how this place would be if Henson was supposed to be our starter this year, and he showed looking like that. I, for one, am glad we have Bledsoe and don't have to rely on Henson, Romo, Hutchinson, Carter, or Testaverde this season. Bledsoe gives me hope.
According to a memebr here, henson struggled in the morning but looked good in the afternoon.

Taking into account how often Parcells is going to shove Julius , and the running game in general, down opponent's throats, I would be shocked if Bledsoe were to break White's Single Season Record.

Trust me I'm not proclaiming success for the Bills with Losman. I'm just saying no matter what Donahoe won't be fired because they have rookie QB.

Actually I'd go against that -

Parcells has said he thinks JJ is going to get 20 carries a game. Felt he over used him last year.

Bledsoe and Parcells to this day are in the NFL record books for throwing the ball. I think the record will be
