Hold on so you you was cool with them making Jaylon? Yeah F all that I dont' want no injured *** dude I done seen enough of them. I wouldn't have taken a tight end at all honestly. Schoonmaker or Darnell I personally wouldn't have taken one. If I wanted a hurt *** Eric Ebron who can block I would've just traded down lol.
nah i didn't like the jaylon pick but schoonbummer aint it. ferguson better.

For some reason the Cowboys don’t make smart decisions in the second round, which is why a number of second round picks haven’t panned out. I wanted us to take a TE with the pick but not Schoonmaker. Time will tell if they made the right choice or he ends up another disappointing second rounder.

All I've seen is highlights I didn't see him. He looks good and his scouting reports say he can block. He automatically doing something Ferguson didn't come in doing the great. Apparently he's a better blocker. Like I said I didnt' want a tight end there at all but I'm over wasting 2nd rounders on hurt dudes.

I was surprised as the rest of you when we pick Shoonmaker,,,I thought damn, its a round to early. But, now that I think about it Shoon has been slowly climbing upwards for the last month or so. He most certainly wouldn't have been there in the 3rd for us, Plus, they had their eye on Overshown for the 3rd and I believe he is exactly who they wanted.
Shoon is going to play a lot as a rookie and it's because of his blocking skills...he will do his job and seal the edges and allow our backs to get the corner. With MM wanting to stretch the defenses out horizontally with his west coast version than having a TE like Shoon who can block in-line and out in space is a must. We all know that our TE's last year had trouble taking care of the edges. Plus, who wants to see more screens, especially with the new kid Vaughn? Shoon will his athletic ability will have no problem getting out in space and doing his job.
He is only going to get better...and some of you tend to think that he is what he is now and that he'll never account for more.

Still on that mindset Kraft would of been better as I see him being a better receiver and better after the catch/contact.

But we'll see. I'm just some idiot

To me the draft was a success, this pick would be the biggest question, this guy needs to be the best TE in the room for the pick to be justified...there is a chance he is but there is also a chance he is just another Hendershot/Ferguson which is not trash but would put a huge ? on the pick for me. If he comes in and is TE1 straight out the gate and seals edges and has Shultz type recieveing numbers then it will be hard to argue the pick.

I agree. But I think Mike wanted guys right now that could help, not later. His job is on the line. I think thats why we reached 1 rd too early with the TE. Thats why we went Deuce and not Evans. Flags galore.
Washington is ready to play right now

Lot of people saying they lost to San Fran twice but it’s like ok we got some more muscle I guess but aren’t you chasing teams at that point? We haven’t even seen trwy lance yet.

Seems like they jsut wanna keep games close and pound the rock and move the chains problem is at a certain point teams jump your short routes and pick 6 your ***.

I want to be the chiefs I want to seek greatness. I want a cowboys era that changes football that we look back on as fun as heck. I want to can’t wait to watch our games. The closest we came to that was that sweep to Ferguson when all the right ends jumped in the thing to celebrate ; forgive any typos I’m in an earthquake

2 problems

1. We are not talking Schoon vs Schultz. We are talking Schoon vs all the other players available at 58 like Torrance

2. If the best you can say about your rd 2 pick is “ not the worst pick ever” that tells hs we made a mistake
Torrance doesn't have the position flexibility that Dallas likes in their offensive line candidates. This is why Torrance dropped to the bottom of the 2nd round, he is strictly a guard.

Well, my post wasn't a complaint. Just an opinion.
I'm front and center every year saying "Let's wait and see"

Last year...some examples
  • I liked our 1st pick....that turned out ok
  • Was so-so on our 2nd pick...and he might be better than I expected. I said wait and see but at the time would not have taken him
  • Did not like our 3rd pick...so far right on that one...even I said wait and see but skeptical
  • Was ok with our 4th pick....so far so good, at the time I would not have taken him there
  • Did not know much about 5th rd Bland, so wait and see.....turns out he was a great pick that I would not have taken given lack of knowledge (again, so wait and see was the right mindset)
  • I liked the risk-reward on Damone Clark, but really didnt know how it would turn out
I wasn't trying to pin point you out...I just picked your post to comment on the fact so many on here saying Torrence would have been a better option.

Tolbert, the 3rd pick last year I didn't mind and if I recall correctly a few on here didn't mind it either. The problem with Tolbert was that the coaches overloaded him and he was overwhelmed and didn't respond well. Hopefully the coaches see the mistake and correct it. The kid was a baseball player and raw, had little experience on knowing what it takes to be a NFL caliber WR. He needed to be handled differently and not thrown to the wolfs.
Apparently, they haven't giving up on him like the fans have...I personally think we will see some growth this year from him. There's a reason he was selected in the 3rd and there's a reason he wasn't put on the PS last year. He has talent and just needed to take baby steps last year.

Dont care the red flags were nothing
Evey team in the league passed on Washington in the 2nd round. All of them and quite a few of them passed on him in the 3rd round as well. I suspect that they didn't pass on him because of nothing. It sounds like he has knee problems in both knees.
