I guess this gives clarity to the issue financially but the reality is it ain't happening, forget it........Jerry would sell the team first (LOL) AND the no-trade clause means you need Dak's blessing. Good luck....

They would need a replacement before trading him away...

He mentions what it will cost the new team, but fails to point out what it will cost Dallas in dead cap. THAT is why he it’s extraordinarily unlikely he gets traded, even if Dallas wanted to.

Also, by rule you can’t trade him tonight, nor for another 7 weeks
Aero cuts right to the chase as usual. Well done

Carr will not allow himself to be traded, he will wait to be cut..

it would be dumb for the same reason dak will force being cut to choose his own team vs trade to help an unappreciative team and fanbase. no waiting needed, Carr will NOT be traded.. NT clauses are real and can not be circumvenbted.,they burned a bridge with Carr and if not careful that will happen here. be careful what you wish for, get rid of top 10 qb 8th on the money list for what picks , picks dont win 12 game b2b seasons and 2nd round playoff berth unless you get extremely lucky. he is untradeable due to money and clauses.

anyone who thinks moving on from Dak as if a qb from the draft or 2nd tier FA pool could win a playoff game against the 9ers on the road with NO RUN GAME, POOR OL PLAY, POLLARD GETTING HURT AND MOORE CALLING PLAYS and playing a near perfect game like zero INTs etc is delusional.

blaming Dak alone for that loss is ridiculous. we have seen this past season and many others players like Allen and Lawarence have poor games and the TEAM WON anyway, we saw Bray throw 3 ints in an NFCCG and still win, we saw Stafford lead the league in INTS and throw TWO (2) in the SB and still win.. Hows Herbert allegedly much better then Dak do his fort 3 season now? his first playoff game?

its A team game and the Team also contributed to a slim 7 point loss.not just dak.,

Give dak better run game and bit better protection, better play calls, and say Diggs makes those 2 plays, we win. or if schultz doesn't have 2 mental mistakes on the last drive or Gallup makes a better effort to not let that ball be intercepted instead of just watching the defender make effort to do so,

I remember how long between Aikman and romo to find even a quality qb and how tough that was to watch, well its why Daks stil here and sitl our best option for now. even the beter qbs lie top 5 in pay didnt make the playoffs, others made mistakes in the playoffs, most according to this place are better, sure they are ...

..
Dak is a good quarterback but we have to admit as Dak and Cowboys fans that he cost us the divisional game. Dak admitted it himself. I am more disappointed with the missed touchdowns to CeeDee then I am the interceptions. The Joneses will give him another season to prove himself but I think the fans and media are done with him. Dak not only has to win a Super Bowl but he probably has to have an MVP type season as well. Dak is now in the fire.

This. And the important thing is to not restructure him. Take the cap hit this coming year so that you can leave the door open to cutting him if he isn't the guy. You restructure him like we have with Zeke and you are locked in for longer.
IF he isn't the guy? LOL.

I've been doing mock drafts on PFF, and the first thing I do is trade Dak. The second thing I do is trade Zeke. It is amazing the young teams I can build that way.

Sadly, PFF mocks are not real life. Instead we'll get the Jones boys convincing themselves that they made the right decisions, and running it back all over again.
How in the world is Zeke tradeable? Teams can draft or sign a free agent.

I hear ya and that's been my argument for Dak up until this year. But I'm talking about trading for a high pick to draft a promising QB

PFF mocks aren't an exact science. Some of the trades you can do are hilarious. It's more of a place to indulge in playing fantasy GM during a long offseason. :muttley:

Sturm outed himself as not being very smart all the way back in 2016 (if not sooner).

Another way to enjoy being a Cowboys fan in the offseason... and to vent a little. Carry on, Amigo

You dont consider trading Dak until you have someone who can do more than what he can do or youre in a position to draft one

12-5 divisional round exit sucks but 4-13 would be horrible

I wish the NFL would be like the NHL/NBA when it came to contracts.
Of course those contracts are fully guaranteed, but I wish any dead cap on the payroll would be from the current year then it clears if a team trades a player. I get the reason for the prorating of the cap hit/acceleration of dead cap if cut, but if traded I feel like the player still gets paid salary on the next team at least

right like lets go after a high draft pick at qb because they all work out so flawlessly. they actually don't.. Trey Lance 3 first rounder, love, Mayfield, zach wilson, and many others...that the reality or a daniel jones type, wentz , goff etc ?? lance, a top 3 pick benched and now the last player picked in the draft is starting in the nfccg ie Tom Brady a 6th rounder dak a 4th rounder romo undrafted. IDC who you think will be better , odds are we could end up like the jets, broncos, browns, Washington, Carolina, and many other teams who are constantly drafting and fail at qb but then turn around and go pay a guy after trading draft picks to get vet like Dak.lOL Theres no guarantees, no blueprints, and be careful what you wish for.

13 qb were used between Aikman and Romo.. Daks top 10 qb and well going out to find anther to even be Dak or better is not just making one move,.,.luck and timing come into it. be careful what you wish for..

The way people talk about dak is baffling . Like we didn’t just see the rams go from Goff to stafford and win.

Or the bengals take a qb 1st and go from jokes to super bowl contenders.

Life is short man make some moves beyond merry go round of coaches

Sturm thinks he's never wrong. The reason he's untradable is because it would kick in 89 mil i if dead money

Go ahead bob, tell us what it will cost DALLAS to trade him. THATS why it won't get done. Might as well build around Dak because he's gonna be your QB1 for the next couple of years like it or not.

How is he in the fire? The same sucker fans come in every year and fill the stadiums and inflate the tv ratings. They buy all the merchandise out of the pro shop every year. The same suckers will fill Jerry's pockets win, lose, or draw.

So tell me where's the pressure?
