Dak is 6-6 in his last 12 games, and 18-18 in his last 36 games. Some of those can be chalked up to some historically bad NFL defenses in Dallas, but Dak needs to prove he can overcome team deficiencies to elevate himself into the upper stratosphere of QB's. It's really that simple.
How can you evaluate a player if you have to throw out their individual stats and only look at the team record? If that is the case then the whole roster must be trash and we need to start from scratch.

Aaron Rodgers has been to the same number of super bowls as Joe Flacco, Colin Kaepernick, Cam Newton, Matt Ryan, Nick Foles, and Jared Goff. Is anyone really going to argue that all those QBs are equal or that Eli Manning is a better QB than Rodgers? That team record is a reflection of Jerry.

Did you not see that list of QBs????

Aikman was on there too.

Post Jimmy, Aikman became a shell of himself. After 1997 he was never the same.

The run-pass balance + great OL + dominant defense ended. Great at all 3 phases.

Cowboys needed all 3 but FO nickeled and dimed this team since.
Do you really think it's that easy to put together a Superbowl team? That ish is harder than Chinese arithmetic.

Then Jerry should have kept Jimmy.

He showed how easy that ish was.

Jerry could have had 5 or 6 Lombardi's if he had half a brain and a tenth of ego.

If stats don't matter, how can you tell when a QB is playing well?

Mahomes, Rodgers, Allen, Brady - these guys are the best in the game, and guess what, their performances produce stats. Because that's how it works. Play well=good stats. The fact that you all eschew stats now like it's some kind of mark against a guy (though to be fair, only Dak gets dinged for being good) is completely insane.

We don't think, oh man, Red Grossman was really underrated because even though he didn't have good 'stats', his team won a few games. No, he sucked and the statistics proved that.

Don't like Dak, fine. Can't win in the playoffs? True. Is he on the decline? Possibly. Is he injury prone now? Might be! But stop trying to bend reality (everything that objectively proves Dak is a good QB actually proves the opposite, somehow!) to make your argument.

I would take Burrow over Dak any time.
When did Burrow become available? Heck I’d take Mahomes or Rodgers myself

what a thoughtless post. Of course you’d take Burrow so would most of the rest of the board but he or no one else is available

there is Rush or Grier or Dak.I know which way I’m going

Most of Dak’s stats come in garbage time when the game is out of anyone’s control. He sucks in the first Q and becomes the 4th Q hero cause the opposing defense goes into prevent.
How is that possible when he has a career record over .500 by double digit games. Are you saying he is a stat padder like Brady?

I agree and I think majority will agree that we should have kept Jimmy. And from the FO, I think Jerry's ego is hurting us. He wants sooo bad to win without Jimmy. And some will say he did with Switzer but that was still Jimmy's team. Personally, I think once we win the Superbowl again (not sure when but I believe we will) then......Jerry will work on putting Jimmy in the Ring of Honor.
