Good point.................Shanny watched this dude in practice for 2 yrs and decided a day 3 pick was worth more.....................that sends up red flags for me,

Shanny is one of the best offensive minds in the game and if he thinks you suck....................odds are that you do indeed suck.

Like you said, the 49ers (who gave up three 1st round picks for this dude) would not have just given him away if he had any juice at all.

My .02
You mean the same guy who decided to get rid of Garrapolo after a playoff season and ride with Lance? That same guy?

Not to say Lance is a good quarterback but he is playing Dak’s offense. Lance is a run first quarterback and to have any success with him you are going to have to change the offense. Remember how Dak played in practice running Romo’s offense. Dak was the 4th quarterback behind a guy that got moved to safety.

First of all, Shanny has never developed a QB. He just looks for guys that can run his scheme.

Second, Who cares? They didn’t exercise the option. They also have MM on his last year as well. Dak also doesn’t have a guaranteed contract. They also signed Zeke for only a year.

If you see Dak sign soon this is why
total BS. It isnt like the Cowboys have been sitting back telling themselves if Dak leaves its ok because we have Lance. Nw they are JUST figuring out he stinks and , uh oh, we better get moving on Dak. That is just foolish thinking.

The Cowboys have missed on a ton of 4th rounders. Low risk/high reward if he was a good player. It is what it is. No one should've been counting on him anyway.

Blame McCarthy for that. He had no plan. Wasted Vaughns rookie season.
Sure about that?

Hard to imagine that the offensive coaches and McCarthy would knowingly keep him off the roster if he was competent.

Talent usually always finds itself in the game

I think you missed the key word there..."SEEING".

You've "seen" very little. Just taking some out of date info..and some talking heads opinions, that you already agree with.

And that is okay just be honest about it.
I have seen enough.

These guys basically said Dak sucked in practice in 2016 too but was a “game day” player and he played in college much more than Lance. Dak’s in his ninth year and is still throwing picks in camp.

The first week of training camp means nothing for long term judgments, especially from those who said he needs time and reps.
Lmao this is so true…they were bashing Dak in practice and wanted Jameil Showers to start their pet cat at the time.

Lance will prove himself when it matters

Chargers offered Brees a deal and they both mutually agreed to leave each other.

Young talent was never in question his team sucked.

Falcons got rid of Favre because of his lifestyle.

49ers got rid of Lance because he sucks. Don’t get me wrong I have no issue trading for him and seeing what he has but the stuff you hear about Lance you’d never hear about the above.
You Sir are wrong in the case of Brees and Young anyway, not too familiar with Farve's circumstances. But both The Chargers and the Buccaneers consider Brees and Young busts. San Diego had already drafted Rivers (Manning) before they traded Brees. Tampa Bay traded Young after two subpar seasons because they considered him a bust.

What are you taking about . Pollard & Schultz were both productive when they were in Dallas . FA is the nature of football players come and go but you can’t dispute their productivity . Bobby Belt said from Oxnard Lance didn’t resemble an NFL QB . Not what you want to hear after the guy is kept under wraps for a yr and did nothing in 2023.
Bobby belt is dreaming of Daks jockstrap…you need to see through the bias

So between Dak and Lance we'll have a top QB next draft.
Because they're both stinking it up according to these clown⁰s.
That what this seasons all about folks the cream will rise and the crap will disappear.
Promise?

Brees wasn't a bust, he just tore his labrum and they had Rivers in the wings. Brees was a probowler though.

He's a huge Dak Stan.
Even if that's true Broadus isn't. And he said the same things about Lance. But he did remind everyone that Dak was a terrible practice player for his first several years. Even now Dak takes chances in practice that we almost never see in games. But that's what practice is for.. workin on stuff. And right now it sounds like the stuff Lance needs to work on is making NFL throws. Not meant as a diss.. just stating facts. He's got work to do.. but he has time. So let's wait and see what he looks like when the lights come on. We all remember how shocked we were when Dak was asked to play in that Rams preseason game. He set that Ram defense on fire and we all went: "Damn, maybe this guy can play after all."

Brees had one decent season out of three, he got benched for Flutie. You don't draft a QB first overall if your guy is already there, they gave up on him, period.

Our next QB will probably come from the UFL. lol

Still too early to write off Lance, but at the same time it's too early to think he's anything more than a project.
Just too raw as a QB overall still in year 3.
Maybe? Theey just brought in a journeyman backup with UFL experience :
https://www.___GET_REAL_URL___/s/he...-bengals-eagles-quarterback-reid-sinnett/amp/

I Thought this was just to bring in another camp arm since Trey is gonna get the majority of preseason game reps....but maybe there is some truth to what belt stated.
