Wanted him and still did after lve and over him but this is better than the eagles or somewhere else
Yeah. But also, everything publicly provided is crappier and more expensive. Education etc. It is all the same cost, just put in different buckets.Right.
Property taxes higher in Texas and Florida, are higher. Sales taxes a little higher as well In Texas. i think 1% higher than Florida.
If you are in your 30s with kids and a home in Seattle, how would you not want to be able to return to what you had for so many years before? He's already made good money in his career and will be on year-to-year deals from here on out. Particularly since Seattle actually managed the playoffs after diving into rebuild mode.Maybe he did not want to move
Wagner is going to be 33 in June. Agreeing to a one-year deal for only 7M tells me there weren’t many options out there for him. It’s not going to be long before his play drops off. LVE played well last season and is 7 years younger.Hard to claim you're all in on winning when you don't make this move.
He is levels better than Vander Esch.
I imagine he did. Seattle was the front runner from the get go unless someone overpaid.Unless Bobby wanted more to move to Dallas, no excuse for signing LVE over the cost of Wagner.
Cards want a 2nd, 3rd and a 4th.Sucks but go get D-Hop and sign a DT and I'll survive.
Everyone in the league was predicting a return to Seattle. You just don’t know what’s going on.Based on what? him saying “happy to be back”. Lol what’s he gonna say. We didn’t pursue him cause short sighted cheap owners
Cards will cave. Its a rebuilding year and they need the draft capital. I'm good with a 4th.Cards want a 2nd, 3rd and a 4th.
You willing to draft at 26 and then wait until the fifth round to pick again?
And Wentz is the new Mahomes.Hard to claim you're all in on winning when you don't make this move.
He is levels better than Vander Esch.
We moved on. There appears to have been some preliminary contact based on reports. Maybe he told us what it would take to sign him, maybe we told him what we were offering or maybe we just said hi. Then, we re-signed LVE and any chance that we would sign Wagner was over.Cause we either low balled him or more than likely made no offer. Bad move. Expected from our dummy owners son who is horrible
Thought we might sign a DT (probably not anyone anybody here wants) since we did bring in Hankins and it improved our run defense. But not sure we're willing to offer enough to get anyone, other than Watkins again. For anyone thinking the Cowboys might bring someone else in, think again. The Cowboys don't spend that kind of money in free agency. In FA they go straight to the discount rack to fill holes. They made a few trades for players they don't plan on addressing in the draft. They usually don't even do that.
I don't think so. We've got Parsons, LVE and Clark as our top three, plus we play a lot of two-linebacker with a safety (Kearse) at the third LB spot. We've also got Cox and last year's draft pick Harper to fill two spots. We need to add one, but I think it will be a later-round pick (fourth-seventh).Welp, this year, I am giving them the benefit of the doubt - until proven otherwise.
Main reason for hoping he came here would have been to mentor all the LBers in the room - including LVE.
Oh well, guess we are drafting someone relatively high ....
Would you prefer a burial or cremation?Sucks but go get D-Hop and sign a DT and I'll survive.
LOLThis may be hard for some to understand, exp the likes Madden Football and all.. But these players are real people with real life choices to make.
Maybe the Cowboys did offer Wagner more, he just simply declined the offer.
Wagner stated that he didn’t want to go anywhere when Seattle decided to move on. His family is still in Seattle and consequently, so is his home. Wouldn’t surprise me, nor would I blame him, that he turned down a better offer from the Cowboys to be closer to his family. It was prob hard on them last year. So returning to Seattle where he’s considered one of their best players all time, seems like an easy decision.
This quote from Seattle times article last year:
-When Bobby Wagner packs up and leaves Seattle for Los Angeles soon for the beginning of training camp, he says it’s not “goodbye” but “see you later.”
