For some reason these type of signings work out pretty well, for a year.

Selvie, Laurent Robinson, Mincey, SMoore, DMC?? all had great first years and then fell off completely.

Hope he can win a spot and take some pressure off Gregory and his problems.

I would be happy with several of them.

But I'm not in anyone's "War-room", I don't have all the details they have that separate one guy from another.

If they believe one of the QB's is a "franchise" guy then you take them. If not get the best position player.

My problem is, I don't think Jerry is looking at it that way. I think he will pass on a guy that they view as a franchise QB for a guy that they view as a dominant DE or a dominant CB, which would be a mistake.

Either that or they'll grade the QBs low intentionally. Remember when everyone was pissed that we never took o-linemen early. Well when our board leaked, we saw why. Every linemen taken in rounds 1-2, we had a much lower grade on, then other teams. It ensured that we would never get value at that position. And once Jerry saw the light, the scouts suddenly started rating guys like TSmith, TFrederick and ZMartin where they should be (maybe a bit high on Frederick, but that worked out). I really think our grade on Goff and Wentz will be lower than where most teams place them, just so when we pass, we can say we followed our board...

I agree and it kinda began in 2011 when they decided to "accurately" rate o-linemen. I'm just not convinced that the past logic will not carry over to the QB position. Everything coming out of valley ranch says they will view QBs this way.
