“Shutdown” CBs mean far less in today’s NFL because of so much 3 and 4 wide. You can just avoid throwing at him and throw at the other 2. It’s why paying a 1 CB $18 million/year just doesn’t make sense and why we let Byron go.

If there is any one position that is no longer as important its the RB position. And paying one 15 million is even more ridiculous. RB by committee is the way to go these days. Plus you can get RB's on the 2nd day no problem.

Ramsey just got traded for two first round picks. Gurley they let go.
