It is what it is......after the fact.

I am a Johnson fan now--he is a Cowboys--saddle up!

Hopefully, for a full 8 seconds.

I was thinking the same thing my man. LOL. How you've been? Your thoughts on the BJ signing?

I am hoping that Johnson is still capable of playing like he did two years ago:

88.9 passer rating
62.6 completion %
12 TDs
4 INTs

And that the horrid numbers from last year were just a symptom of the wholesale collapse of the Vikings offense last season.

Plus, I wish our back-up was not 39.

Well, this didn't take long.

I was just asking myself how long it would be before you or Philo started a new thread griping about Brad Johnson.

I'm going to nickname you guys the Window Twins because you're transparent.

This would be the 18th or 19th thread started about backup qb's by these 2 ....

Well gents it looks as if JJ, pretending to be a GM, has done it again. On the day that Joey Harrington is released, he goes ahead and signs the ancient Brad Johnson (perhaps he threw in a cane and walker to seal the deal. LOL). This decision is a poor one. Johnson is not the QB he once was, not even close.
I read one argument from someone on this board stating all we have to do to ensure Johnson's success is to give him good blocking. Yeah, like we've done that so well over the past 5 years or so. LOL. Drew Bledsoe will look like another Michael Vick when compared to Johnson. BJ is like Vinny T "Lite".
Harrington offers youth, arm strength and mobility. He would compliment Romo well. JJ should consider null and voiding the Johnson contract this a.m. and go out and sign Harrington. Won't happen of course, but JJ blew it again with this one. The thought of Brad Johnson coming off the bench and having to play 4-5 games or more is scary. Let's hope Romo stays healthy and performs as well as he did last season. If not, we got a huge problem.

I trust Brad Johnson stepping into a game over Harrington any day of the week. As for age no one is asking Johnson to play 16 games he is a backup and has proven himself as a guy who can step in and get the job done. Harrington has not prove jack.

I am not worried about Johnson for 2-3 game stretches, but for a 10-12 game stretch? Yikes!!!???

Like I told you yesterday my friend, you worry about your own reputation on this board. There is plenty there to keep you busy.

If we draft a QB say round 4, and Romo were to go down for that length of time I think you might see him get a lot of work. Johnson is a patch, not a repair. He's here to mentor Romo and whomever we draft.

It seems to be an epic disaster in one trick pony land.

There is no need for him to worry about your rep. It's already been set in stone. :D

I watched the Dolphins games toward the end of the season specifically because I was watching the Nick Saban drama play out. Before that, I had never watched Harrington that many weeks in a row. At first the guy looked decent. That is all. Decent. He then proceeded to regress from decent to downright HORRIBLE and was benched for LEO CLEMON.

If I had not watched him so much I would have been one of those calling for us to pick him up, but after watching him I can now say without a doubt, he is a BUST QB who simply cannot play.

What about Matt Baker? I have no clue if he can play or not. Do you have any feel on what his standing is with Wade/Jerry/Garrett?

He has done it before and done so with success. Harrington has never done jack nor has carr, they may be younger but their play has not been good
