Interesting journalism there. Carr's direct quote is “I’m trying to take over the league,” Gets changed to he and the Cowboys are ready to “take over the league.” Notice how even in the second quote only the second half of the sentence is in quotes? The ' He and the Cowboys are ready to.. ' is fabrication and says something very different from Carr's quote.
Thank you. I clicked over to the Star-Telegram for the full article. Sure enough, the direct quote shows Carr referring to himself only.
If Carr says he was misquoted, Charean Williams can claim he talked about the rest of the defense. If Carr says Williams made an assertion, Williams can counter by saying Carr talked about himself and his defensive teammates. so the assertion was unintended, but understandable. It's a win-win situation for Williams and a catch-22 for Carr.
This is unnecessary sensationalism. The media should camp out for Jerry Jones to run his mouth. He tends to dig his own grave way too often whenever a microphone is in earshot. Often, there is more than enough material to publish without screwing up someone else's words.
How bout start small? Make realistic goals. For examples:
Claiborne: "I'm ready to not be a bust" . . . "I'm ready to not be out of the league in two years."
Carr: "I'm ready to be a league average player" . . . "I'm ready to not have records broken on me."
Scandrick: "Isn't it sad that I'm the best CB on the team and I'd be a 3rd CB on any other team? I'm ready for a drink."
You guys are brutal....lol
Guy trying to improve from a terrible year last season by losing 10 pounds and upping the ante on his offseason workout, it gets taken to the woodshed on here.
Cold World No Blanket!
You people will complain about anything. What 's the man supposed to say when confronted by the media?
"Um, I guess we'll try to do OK this year"
How about saying I'll let my play speak for me?
