All these La-Z-Boy heroes love to tell these elites athletes about what their JV Coach taught them about being a real player. If they talk to much they are cocky, if they don't talk they aren't leaders. If they get in better shape they were slacking before, if they get hurt they are bums. I bet if a pool of reporters and bloggers and fans followed them around at their jobs and were constantly asking them questions they would end up saying some things that could get twisted and criticized.

This is called swag. Not much you can do in the offseason. I have no problem with him being confident.

Carr and Mo are talking because they know that once the season starts they will be really really quiet

Carr has been reading DC comics again hasn't he.

Brandon Carr didn’t suggest putting it in a “3-inch headline” as former Cowboys coach Jimmy Johnson once did. But Carr wrote his headline Sunday night when he said he and the Cowboys are ready to “take over the league.”

“That’s going to be your headline,” Carr said knowingly.

To that end, Carr has lost 10 pounds and boasts that he is in the best shape of his life.

“I’m trying to take over the league,” Carr said while attending the team’s 10th annual Taste of the NFL to tackle childhood hunger. “I get emotional when I say that because I’m dead serious, man. I’ve been playing this game for six years now, and I’m just ready to make that jump and become that shutdown corner.”

The only person with Room to talk on this team is Dez Bryant...nobody else. Nobody period.

Even Dez Bryant can get a lot better. He finished 13th in the NFL in yardage last year and PFF had him ranked as the #22 graded WR.

I'm looking forward to Dez upping his game and establishing himself as the absolute clear cut #2 WR in the NFL behind Megatron. He has potential to be all of that and more.

Just from reading the quote it sounds ridiculous, but if you watch the whole interview he seems very motivated and serious about improving this year... I like the attitude

Talk is cheap...prove it and move out of the way. 10 interceptions, 5 forced fumbles, zero touchdowns and a few sacks...and get me to the SuperBowl..or just hush up and be relevant in some form or fashion...Man I wish we could just cut players with zero cap implications.

Cowboys' Brandon Carr; "I'm dead serious...I'm ready to make that jump and become that shutdown corner."

Perhaps some will say our defense which finished dead last was in part that bad because of Carr's poor play, but I will kindly disagree. I believe Brandon Carr was one of the most consistent and solid players last year. It was a very tough year for the DB, there wasn't much that they could do, and if you watch film of the first half of the season, you will find Brandon Carr making spectacular plays, and always being with him man. Another victim of last year's lack of pressure on opposing QB's was Claiborne, yet Carr is our best DB and his words bring immediate confidence to me as an average fan.

A big reason why I am really excited about this year and the new defensive front. It should prove to be very, very helpful for the back end.
