Based on the seasons predictions by most handicappers, oddsmakers and analysts few are seeing us make the playoffs while they do see us contending for them.

Remember what those same people were saying about the Eagles chances just one year ago?

Or before 2014 coming off 8-8....only to watch the Cowboys go 12-4?

Or before 2015 coming off 12-4...only to watch the Cowboys to 4-12?

Or before 2016 coming off 4-12...only to watch the Cowboys go 13-3?

Or before 2017 coming off 13-3...only to watch the Cowboys go 9-7?

That's also why people shouldn't look at strength of schedule for the next year.

Not a pass. My expectations have simply been lowered given the circumstances with Jerry Ball.

I simply like this puppet. That’s not necessarily a reflection on his coaching ability.

Bills team were always built around a dominating defense with a strong running game and a Bus Driver type. Remember he won a SB with a backup QB in Hostetler.

And in his first year here which was the last year we’ve had a top defense which took Quincy Carter to the playoffs.

It’s like I’ve always said. You need either an elite QB or dominating defense to be a serious SB contender. Right now we have neither.

A dominating running game and elite RB without the elite defense or QB will only carry you so far until you go up against the teams that have one.

Initially in 2016 it looked like we had found both the elite QB and RB. Now I’m not so sure. We’ll know more this year. But our success now and moving forward will be determined by it. And I also hold out the possibility we could build that defense to lessen the pressure on our QB.

I’m not a fan that tries to be overly optimistic about the future instead analyzing what I’ve seen in the current state of affairs . Reality. It’s all based on the results and why they matter.
