I love Brock Hoffman's attitude. Just a brawler and a finisher, and that makes up for whatever physical limitations he may have.

This team needs more players with a fighting, bullying mindset. I think he's a starter going forward.

They're not giving up his right tackle position until they see if he can stick to the left tackle but they have a whole another offseason besides the rest of this season but a preseason to play around with these lineups this dude is not a bust at left tackle yet so let's stop acting like they're already made the decision on that they're gonna try to make him a tackle if not sure you get back to the right tackle... But like I said one way or the other he's not gonna be a boss I believe this kids gonna stick and he's gonna be fine...
I think the Cowboys might want to get out of Terence Steele's contract next season, which could open the door for Guyton to flip sides.

A 2025 line of, left to right, Tyler Smith (LT), T.J. Bass (LG), Cooper Beebe (C), Brock Hoffman (RG), and Tyler Guyton (RT) could be considered.

Brock Hoffman just finished manhandling All Pro DT Dexter Lawrence all game long, yet people are questioning if Hoffman is legit???

Not that Hoffman did a bad job on him, but I'd give a lot of the credit to Beebe after watching the film. Lawrence only lined up on the right side of our OL 18 times, most of those directly over Beebe. 12 of those reps he was doubled which is to be expected of a great DT. I only counted 5 reps of Hoffman v Lawrence and at least two of those I remember were pretty easy assignments on Lawrence (Screen play and a PA roll out).

It could be somethign to watch this week if Hoffman gets the start. Cincinnati has a pretty solid interior player in BJ Hill, but he isnt nearly on the level of Lawrence so they might give him some more 1V1s on him. Outside of Lawrence the Giants DTs are not very good.

Of course it's gonna be considered everything will be considered... you can also think about putting Richards at left tackle and see what he does it sucks he got hurt because that's what they were experimenting with here recently the injury bug there's been like over 18 players got hurt this year I don't think people realize how many of those were key players or the depth 3rd or 4th like on the depth chart getting hurt literally using St. guys to fill in I mean I realize everyone's going to say well it looked bad at the beginning of the year when most people were healthy yeah but you never got on track because you kept losing people so fast and so many that this is 2020 all over again and I'm not worried about 2025 as much as people are because I think just not having an injury list like this long will put us back on track..

I'm all for young guys working out. However, what I'm not for is taking a very small sample size and thinking that player is the next coming. Don't forget Doug Free, Crawford, Jaylon, Underwear Thief, Brandon Carr. Let the kid play against various types of players first and then we'll talk. Beating up on a bad Giants team proves nothing.
Doug Free had a solid career here. He was solid at right tackle when this o-line was dominate from 2014-2016.

Hoffman and Bass should get as many snaps as possible the rest of the season.
Sucks about Richards.
Richards was good in limited snaps he played but didn’t know his injury was so serious that he need to be IRed, I like him for taking over RT next year and cut bait with Steele

I’d be good with this but Hoffman and Bebe switched

Ya'll can bash Steele for his pass blocking cause he does struggle with speed but dude is a mauler in the run game. I know this video was about Hoff and deservedly so but in most of the clips you can see both of them and TS was getting after them as well.

His pass blocking is simply unacceptable.

That would an interesting development of having a possible 3 guys (Steele, Guyton, Richards) going for 1 spot..highlighting some depth. However, I expect Guyton n Steele to be the starting tackles with Richards as the Swing OT.

I agree Brock does really well in space, blocking on the 2nd level, and he may be able to pull from the Center position. Place Beebe at his natural position and let him manhandle DTs.

I think Steele struggles from this pass pass pass offense, I could be wrong, but it seemed Steele was better when he was getting nasty in the run game then it translated to decent pass pro.

all this talk about a natural position amuses me
Martin played Tackle all his college career but his natural position was guard
Tyler Smith was supposed to be the new LT but his natural position was guard
You do not know which is which until a few years into the pros

If there is a way to bench Steele I'm all in for any other line up.

I think the Oline is one of the few personnel groups we can be optimistic about.

Having a hobbled Martin was clearly a determinate. The line looked good in pass protection and the run game picked up significantly.

Bad Giants team or not.... you do realize that the Giants have one of the best DTs in the league and Hoffman handled him accordingly.

I'm talking about a natural OC playing OG at (6'4, 302) and a natural OG playing OC at (6'3, 332), not OT moving to OGs.
