agreed! We don't agree on much but they may not need to pick another offensive lineman in this draft they can get one undrafted you know where they picked up quite a few of these guys or get a cheap veteran to get a swing going we don't know what we're doing with steel probably a cat casualty but he has played better the last couple games as well which is ironic they have a better player next to him playing his job a little better maybe it all works a little more smoothly when that's going on...Smith, Bass, Beebe, Hoffman, Guyton should be the line next season. Bass and Hoffman are making it more likely they pass on OL in the first two rounds.
and get it all counts and offseason is an offseason you bring in players if they workout that's great some of the ones that don't workout that happens you just have to have a balance there have more wins than losses as far as picking players and I think the Cowboys do a pretty damn good job there it's not luck they've done this many times Terrence steele I believe was also undrafted and before his injury he was really good he's actually looks like he's playing a little bit better with Hoffman next to him..both Hoff and Bass are undrafted, it really helps with all the wasted 4th rd picks
This is good stuff. Hoffman could (maybe should) be the starting next year.
Right,I'm all for young guys working out. However, what I'm not for is taking a very small sample size and thinking that player is the next coming. Don't forget Doug Free, Crawford, Jaylon, Underwear Thief, Brandon Carr. Let the kid play against various types of players first and then we'll talk. Beating up on a bad Giants team proves nothing.
his PFF grades are really good.Martin should not start another game, love him but it is time to move forward.
He's RFA.Saw this in training camp. I hope he stays around for awhile.
doug free was awesome and got a raw deal imoI'm all for young guys working out. However, what I'm not for is taking a very small sample size and thinking that player is the next coming. What’s wrong with Brandon Carr? He was serviceable and consistent his entire tenure hereI'm all for young guys working out. Biggest issue with Carr was simply expectations. He was the 2nd best CB on Kansas City and the Cowboys probably overpaid him in a weak CB market that year and asked him to be their top guy at the position. Completely different situation when your covering a teams 2nd WR or getting the luxury of getting safety help and then being asked to lock down a teams #1 the following year. Nothing wrong with the player just like there is nothing wrong with Hoffman, but it is accurate from a standpoint that they might want to put Hoffman in some scenarios to challenge him the rest of the way before handing him starting RG money as a FA.What’s wrong with Brandon Carr? They have nearly $50 million in cap and can clear over $100 million by Restructuring Dak (they will) and if they want to release Steele, Wilson or hookerHe's RFA.
likely leaves for a better deal.
we are cap broke.
No.we are cap broke.

They're not giving up his right tackle position until they see if he can stick to the left tackle but they have a whole another offseason besides the rest of this season but a preseason to play around with these lineups this dude is not a bust at left tackle yet so let's stop acting like they're already made the decision on that they're gonna try to make him a tackle if not sure you get back to the right tackle... But like I said one way or the other he's not gonna be a boss I believe this kids gonna stick and he's gonna be fine...That's possible, but I think the question is also how to get Guyton involved, when his natural position in college was RT.
