Broaddus has narrowed down our pick options at 12

They aren't tied to Kneeland but what about Jerry? Tell him Kneeland isn't starting material? Keep in mind OP is saying if we stay at 12.....
Think about it .......DL = Parsons, Osa, Fowlers, Mazi, Sam Willaims, and Kneeland are likely getting major snaps. It seems their investment in Osa and Fowlers is removing DLine from any consideration at 12 UNLESS a surprise drop ( Carter or Graham )
Yeah, I think of it based on allocation of resources.

At end, we have a first-round pick, two second-round picks (one of which we got just last year), two former first-rounders as FAs (one being our top free agent costwise this year).

At receiver, we have a first-round pick, a third-rounder, two former second-rounders as FAs (one low-cost, the other costing a fourth-round pick this year), a sixth-rounder, a seventh-rounder and a UDFA.

Unless we let the fourth-rounder we spent on Mingo hang us up, we've clearly spent less quality resources on WR.

Allocated resources are even worse at CB with no first-round picks (other than the one we traded for cheaply) and same at running back.

I don’t know about that. Will Johnson, Diggs, and Bland secondary would be formidable by the end of season. 3 elite ball hawks is something you have to consider if you’re the Cowboys.
Him not running doesn’t bother you?

He and Nick have been saying most of those names since the draft show started. I have been saying the same which is they need to hit on the first three picks. Cant raach and whiff like the last 2 years.
I'm just so happy that the team went all out to win those meaningless games last season with players they had no intention of keeping while young guys they kept rode the bench... just enough wins to be out of any hope of landing a top DT. Brilliant.

Good post!
Stephen Jones recently stated you want any top drafted 15 players with your team for at least 8 years. Translate.......day-1 starter, zero injury issue, premium position, impact player. Don't rule out OLine IMO ( Martin replacement)

I think that's low for the same reason. We just spent a first-round pick on an OL. However, since there are five starting spots (versus two at receiver and corner and one at RB), it could be justified. As is, we are set to start UDFAs at two positions, so that could justify it.

We are going to strike out getting a RB once again. Jeanty and Hampton will start the run on RBs well before our second round pick, either forcing us to reach or ignore the position once again smh
If Jeanty starts a run and all rbs gone by 44......that means 1. Jeantt and all rbs start at #1 pick and #2 that pushes guys to us.

This class has too many rbs that can help to totally miss.

It's funny to me how tackle isn't an option. So after this year when Steele shows he will never be a top end pass blocker what's the plan to help out the 60 mil dollar man? Just a thought

Drafting a flex OT at 12 could be on the table IMO.......this would give us four ( Smith, Beebe, Guyton and ? ) to build the next 3-5 years

Steele contract..........we can save $14M post-June 1 release 2026
https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/player/_/id/48236/terence-steele/contract/cap
  • $23.https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/player/_/id/48236/terence-steele/contract/cap554M fully guaranteed at signing (signing bonus + 2023 salary + 2024 salary)
  • $13.25 million 2025 salary fully guarantees 3/16/2025 (injury guaranteed at sign)

Trad back a few spots to draft Golden or one of the receivers then use that pick to move back up in second to take Barron. Best case scenario

If they want to think thats good enough, then best of luck to them. Its not
