Sigh!
What's hypothetical is that you don't know if that would weigh in his favor in terms of COTY.

Uh, one of the MAJOR reason Saleh is being considered is because the Jets are unexpectedly 7-4!!!!!!

Do you HONESTLY believe if the Jets were 2-9, Saleh would be considered a COTY candidate?????

Honestly?

See, when you're serious, you try to hard to make sense. Stick with sarcasm.

You got me. If the Jets were 2-9 Saleh wouldn't be considered for Coach of the Year.

Stand in front of your bathroom mirror and raise your arm in victory.

Are you being serious here? Or do I need to catch up on all the comments from 5 pages to see if you're being sarcastic?

Sarcastic lol

I’m just pointing out. McCarthy gets knocked because he had Aaron Rodgers. Meanwhile the hall of fame is littered with head coaches who had their success while coaching other hall of fame QB’s.

i dunno if i take into the Hurts interest rumors ..
- One side of me says ... why would you waste a high round pick such as a 2nd round for a gimmick backup QB ?
- another side says maybe at that time, after what happened with Dak ankle injury, and doubts about their backup QB at the time, maybe they thought to
have Hurts groomed as a 'backup' QB.

Sorry Cowboys were always committed to Dak ankle or not, every since rookie 2016 year, imo.

- Philly Eagles HC Nicholas Sirianni has to be the clear front runner in COTY.

- KC Chiefs Andy Reid would be 2nd in my list

- Bills Sean McDermott would be 3rd

- McCarthy ? Probably 4th, ... and is he still riding more on Kellen and Quinn and Bones than it being more himself ?

I mean Garrett won Coach of the Year with Dallas so the bar's not that high in that regard, lol.

Nah, if the the Dolphins make the playoffs then McDaniels easily wins that
His quarterback goes down and he can’t win. Dak goes down and they win with Cooper Rush. That should edge him out. Dolphins are stacked and are suppose to win. Hell I’d give it to Giants coach before him.

A couple months ago she had to be told that the 4 time Super Bowl Champion New York Giants used to be a really good team.

She's there on merit!

She's not there to be the X's and O's analyst. She tends to hit personality/psychological points and hit them well. She's smart. She's younger and doesn't have the same history of football as the rest of them.

The Break used to have the designated "Email Female". Ambar has a bigger role than they had. She likely broadens the audience.

I think they've got a good mix now. Derek and Nick are the media pros. They orchestrate the show. Having two football analysts with less media experience opposite was often a problem as they would get into some argument and derail the show with a ____ measuring contest. Having a woman in the room tends to improve male behavior.

It's a sports entertainment show, not a coaching session.

Ambar brings nothing to the show. She's the worst; I can't stand her.
Ambar ‘Toofer’. She must of been hired for her looks…which have disappeared.

Who was Landry's? Who was Jimmy's? Who was Sean Payton's? Since he's the darling of the board.
Good point, I would counter that they came across as very intelligent…MM nope. The Fred Flintstone of the NFL coaching fraternity.

Does not have the knowledge of some but has a way of asking the right question to those that do. Not afraid to 'sit on the fence' or 'tow the company line'

Stop.

She's a talented artist. You should check out her work but as a football analyst she's a complete waste of space.

I get joy listening to the three soy boys pretend she's adding insight to whatever topic is being discussed and feel bad for the person who actually should be there on merit and not quota.

Huh?

Jimmy delegated all three phases of the game to his coordinators, he did nothing innovative.

He was a very good motivator. But how do we know that Mike isn't? None of us see what happens behind closed doors. Just because he doesn't hoot and holler like Jimmy did in front of the cameras doesn't mean he's any less of a motivator than Jimmy was. We simply don't know.

What we do know is that this team plays hard for Mike. The job he did his first year here was incredible. Does this team make some boneheaded mistakes? Yep, way too many for my liking. But I don't see how that's on Mike. Maybe on the position coaches or we just have some stupid players.

I've liked the hiring from the day it was announced and I like it even more today. He was very fortunate to get such a great head coach with Jerry being the owner in my opinion.

Jimmy had 10x as big a functional job description as Mike. Jimmy was pivotally involved in trades, drafts and personnel decisions. Jimmy set the philosophical tone and helped design defense. He went to a smaller, faster defense that didn't have much of any precedent in the NFL. Mike really isn't involved in draft/free agency. Mike as a motivator? LOL, saw that act in Hard Knocks.
