Ok this is fun to look at, all 3 on this show, said Watson was better than Mahomes, and that Watson was a definite "Winner".
Dallas had pick 28, KC had pick 27.
KC moves up to 10 and takes Mahomes.
Dallas stays at 28 and takes Taco !!!! lol ( they didnt need a qb especially Mahomes, because they had a great QB in Dak ! lol again)
I think had Dallas moved up for a qb , they would have taken Watson.

If anyone knows, I would like to know if Dallas had Mahomes on their board, and where on their board.
Chicago took trubisky lol who busted bigtime, houston took watson at 12, I doubt they were going to take mahomes if he was there.

If KC moved up from 27, Dallas could have done same from 28 to get mahomes.
KC gave up a 3rd in 2017 and a 1 in 2018 which would be a low 1st round pick to buffalo for the # 10 pick.

So KC saw something in Mahomes that no other team did, none of the "experts" did either, Kiper said Mahomes would be a bust.
Now mahomes is the new goat, and Jerry is still saying Dak can win in playoffs and win a SB.
Meanwhile Mahomes has won 2 SB's in a row and could possibly win his 3rd in a row this year.

Dak is still looking for 2 playoff wins in a row ! lol

Which just goes to show, just because your current qb is good, dont ignore the qb's in the draft each year , or you will miss a guy like mahomes.
Same for other positions too.
Had Dallas been smart enough to grab mahomes, and know he could be what he became, they could have traded Dak for premium picks at that time,
and actually upgraded future picks, so that they get mahomes @ 10 for nothing!.

here Broaddus and other 2 bozos show love for watson lol, and smh Mahomes !

It shocking to me that some here think Broaddus is some sort of super analyst. The guy is a total zero in my opinion. Plus he can be pretty mean to callers. It’s comical. The guy really thinks he is a guru. He is an absolute fraud and 80 pct of the posters here have more insight than he does.

IT is like those that claim the Patriot Dynasty was all Brady
You can't give a single player 100% of a dynasty, but without Brady I bet they win 0 championships, unless the replacement was like Mahomes.

Brady had the game winning drive in all 6 of their championships.

so the only way the Pats win any championships is HOF player like brady? Tell me how much he did in the first one? He was a bus driver for all intents and purposes. Second one pretty much as well. Just like with Eli, the D won THOSE championships.

I watched most of his games in college. I don't see how anyone could not see how his game translated to the NFL.

When the Chiefs traded up I told the family they are getting Mahomes and sure enough it happened.

Living in the heart of Chiefs territory has been pretty rough and I don't think it's going to get easier any time soon.
Lol! I saw many games and practices......you can't tell with knowing the man!

But yet Brady still had the game winning drive which if you look at the Quarterbacks today most of them would screw that up other than Mahomes or Burrow. Just throwing 0 interceptions which Brady did is too much to ask for most QBs.

Also the fact that they got there you can't just say the defense they were not the 2000 Baltimore Ravens. Brady wasn't the Brady he became later but he was still good. Do you really think they could just plug any QB in and they win the Super Bowl? The playoffs are filled with pressure that most QBs can't handle Brady was the Michael Jordan of the NFL at it. If it was so easy QBs like Lamar Jackson would have multiple Super Bowls. He has 2 MVPs and 0 Super Bowl appearances.

Funny how @Motorola brought up Dak's INTs to try to use that against him. Meanwhile, Mahomes has thrown 63 total INTs while Dak has thrown 74 after playing for 2 full years longer.
You know what's funnier? Twisting the stats.

Mahomes has 3590 attempts with 63 ints or 1 per 57 attempts.

Dak has 3893 attempts with 74 ints or 1 per 52.3 attempts.

Bottom line is Dak throws ints at a higher rate than Mahomes.

Mahomes had/has Andy Reid as a coach. Do you think he would have been as successful if Dallas moved up and drafted him and he had Jason Garrett as a coach?

Looking back at that draft, Mahomes was highly underrated by most teams. Even at TT, he was good but no one could have predicted he would be even better and a GOAT contender in the NFL. Reid has made him a better QB....had he come to Dallas, his career would definitely not be the same. Many thought Reid was crazy for moving up to grab him, but he knew what he was doing and what he wanted to do with Mahomes. The ceiling is another SB appearance. The rest is history.

Watson got all the pub and apparently was over rated. Still is....and his coaching and reputation has certainly not helped. I can see Dallas picking Watson over Mahomes in a blink of an eye.

And Dak isn't even in the conversation....who cares.

And most fans don’t realize / recall that NE was dominant in only their last SB victory...and even then it was only a 10-point margin of victory over the Rams___13 - 3.
6-point win versus the Falcons in overtime ___36 - 28
4-point difference against the Seahawks ___28 -24.
3-points better than the Eagles, Panthers, and Rams___24 - 21, 32 -29, 20-17 respectively.

I was hoping that Mahomes would fall and Dallas would draft him. Sigh.

No idea but when you see him winning Super Bowls and Dak throwing 2 interceptions against the 7 seed it's hard not to fantasize.

Conversely, would Garrett have been more successful with a better QB? Reid had just been fired by the Eagles, and nobody thought he was a genius coach before Mahomes. Elite QB's have a way of making coaches look really smart!

Reid actually started with the Chiefs in 2013, didn't get Mahomes until 2017. He was basically doing what the Cowboys do making the playoffs with Alex Smith and losing.

AND???

It's still waaaaaay lower in total than what Troy, Roger and Romo threw in the similar amount of time playing.

I did quite the opposite, America's Cowboy.
DandyDon52 created the thread on a revisionist, hypothetical premise that the Cowboys should have been looking at drafting Mahomes in the 2017 draft.
My response was that after the phenomenal rookie season Prescott had as the starting QB, the Cowboys were in no way even thinking about picking a QB in that draft -- which they didn't.
Romo read the writing on the wall and retired, Cowboys then signed Rush as an UDFA to compete with to Kellen Moore as QB2.
That's how you should have interpet my response to DD52.
No team -- the Cowboys, or the 30 other NFL front offices - were looking at drafting Mahomes in the first round - much less moving up to pick him - except the Chiefs.
End of story.
Agreed.

So why did you repeatedly bring up Dak's career INTs???
