Continuity, like going 8 - 8 every year? We see Chip Kelly turning the Eagles around in one year, Andy Reid turning the Chiefs around in one year, Jim Harbaugh turning the Niners around in one year, Pete Carroll turning the Seahawks around quickly,etc......... You can't seriously think keeping Jason Garrett is a good idea unless you like mediocrity. He has been with the team for 8 years and the head coach for over 3 years. If we were winning more games each year and building toward the ultimate goal then yea we should keep him, but Garrett has us stuck in neutral or worse regressing.

Reid got a better QB.
Harbaugh got a better QB.
Carroll got a better QB.
Kelly got a better QB.

See the trend yet?
If Garrett is fired, and we keep the same QB, nothing will change much.

And ... I don't think too much of our HC either. But the biggest problem here is injuries and talent acquisition. And we all know that our HC is only marginally involved in talent acquisition.

Thing is, changing coaches doesn't automatically fix everything and I think most people know thins.

We want Garrett gone because he hasn't provided any actual tangible positive change in the organization. Nothing has gotten better. Not a single thing. Things are as dim as ever, especially with the mismanagement of the roster that we're going to see wreak havoc on this team next year. Garrett hasn't improved any aspect of this team, Lacewell is back and Jerry and Stephen have run amok. What did we get out of it? 3 average years without the playoffs, a bunch of lousy drafts and we're gonna have to dump a bunch of our 'core' players without the ability to replace them. Certainly no signs of a dynasty looming.

Why should he continue to coach for us? If we can't make the playoffs year in and year out, we might as well be 5-11 as be 8-8. If we're doomed to salary cap hell, we might as well be coached by Campo.

How could a new coach do any worse? As far as I'm concerned, if you don't make the playoffs, your record is just as same as the folks who pick 1st in the draft.

Garrett is the epitome of deflection. He never owns up to responsibility. This is a severe problem when things are constantly not working because it doesn't lead to change. See Jerry Jones. In this sense, they are two peas in a pod.

Our current QB is not nor ever has been our problem..

This presumes the notion that the problem is the QB and not the coach, a very dubious presumption in the case of the Cowboys. Even the first year NFL coach Kelly is a more proven coach than Garrett ever was when he got a head coaching gig.

Romo's numbers for 2013 through 13 games (still has 3 games to go)..............27 TDs .........7 Ints .......... 98.5 QBR

Anybody that thinks Romo is the problem with this team needs to seriously learn the game.

This bizarre, fantasy world that exists in your mind would be pretty funny to watch. 31 teams would be rebuilding every year. Or maybe, all 32 teams would have winning records. Something ridiculous, undoubtedly.

The Garrett Defense League will stop at nothing to deflect blame from their boy.

He's not perfect. He's clearly missing some passes down the field by just not seeing or possibly being told to not throw ANY interceptions since every offensive possession is precious to this team with its defense. I think that is flawed logic so its likely not the case but I don't know that. I do know that when they open up the offense he's one of the best ever. And that I have a problem with. I've said for at least two years to go up tempo and turn Romo loose.

But he's NOT the problem with this team. It's primarily the defense although the offense could be a good bit better.

It's to the point now where when I read about Romo being the problem, no matter what is actually said I read it as "please scroll down".

Tony Romo is a Championship winning QB saddled with the worst owner/GM in the sports world.

We should just pick a new QB off the tree. They are so easy to get. Remember all the great QBs in Dallas from Aikman to Romo?

If we don't make the playoffs. Jerry is cleaning house. No way he can watch them fail again and again and this year and let them come back.

Cool. Let's start with the GM and his moron son.

Yep, that's why we should never try to upgrade our QB position. Since good QB's are so rare, let's stick with what we have and hope he doesn't mess up again when it matters the most.

It's not about never getting another QB, it's about building a better team with all the resources that we have. Drafting a rookie quarterback high doesn't help Romo win a super bowl. Just one less linemen or defensive player that could have helped this team turn the corner.

Romo's never going to win a SB. By the time this team is rebuilt, he'll be ready to retire.

We're not as bad as you think. We just need to turn the corner. Some solid front office moves should accomplish just that.

That's what Jerry thinks which is why we are mediocre every year. This team hasn't beat one good team this year. It continues to find new ways to lose games. The Defense is historically bad. The offense isn't much better. I have no confidence in the front office to fix things either.

Yeah, except not every team is stagnant, year in/year out.
