Ingram averaged 4.3 yards per carry and rushed for 9 TDs. Murray averaged 4.7 yards per carry and rushed for 13 TDs.

I'm not sure there's much drop-off between the two players.

I'd rather just keep Murray or somehow get Peterson, but Ingram isn't a horrible third option if both are seeking too much (or if Peterson doesn't get free of Minnesota).

Compare yards after contact and get back to us .

Everyone commenting on Ingram does realize that the players and coaches vote for the reserve Pro Bowl players, right? So, the coaches and his peers thought of him as Pro Bowl material, but all the personnel folks on here think different.......I wonder who's right?

Is he Murray? Probably not. But, if any of y'all think he isn't way better AT THIS POINT than Williams, Randle, Dunbar, or any of the soon to be rookies that haven't taken one handoff in an NFL game yet are smoking some good stuff. Just remember this - all you guys thinking a rookie is just going to come in and be THAT GUY from Day 1 are forgetting that most NFL folks thought that Ingram was also going to be that guy from Day 1 as well. Behind this line and with a commitment to running, I could EASILY see Ingram with 1200+ yards.

@BryanBroaddus: “@tiz71: @BryanBroaddus and your starting RB in 2015 for the Dallas Cowboys is........” Mark Ingram or someone from this draft.

He is only 25 and behind this line it can make him only better....

Broaddus thought we could sign Murray for $4-5m. I don't put any stock whatsoever into his predictions.

The best thing for this offense would be one of the top two rookie RBs

Then its going to be Melvin Gordon

Can someone name one Wisconsin rb that has done anything in the NFL after having a great career in college. The Badgers offense is setup for any rb to have great numbers, they have these huge lineman and just overpower most teams.

I wouldn't mind Ingram, but that would mean Randle's role would have to increase, more than it would if Murrary or AP is the feature back.
As great as Gurley is, no one has seen his knee yet....so...

Sure his knee has been checked over and over since.

I mean by the cowboys, I would like to hear they are secure about it.
I'm not assuming anything. The doctors didn't look at his knee at the combines (although I heard that wasn't out of the ordinary)

If Ingram is our best option due to Murray moving on,I would hope to heck we go hard after AP.

Haha, this is what we're basing this on now? Pro-bowl? Ingram had FOUR games last season that showed a good performance. That was all. Outside of that, he was mediocre.

I ,unlike you, actually watch and analyze games. New Orleans was willing to run the ball when Ingram was finding holes, they didn't run the ball when the guy was rushing for under 4 yards a carry. How many games was that? 6 games, and he missed 3 games last year.

You are downgrading incredibly from Murray to Ingram. You are getting a far slower, just as injury prone (Maybe even more so), and less powerful back in Ingram. Not to mention, he's not much of a receiver either.

You don't bring a change of pace back in to replace a 3 down RB.

I really don't care who our RB is this year....just going on record.

I don't think Murray is worth more than 5-6 million, and that's a stretch, but I trust that we will be fine with the coaches selecting the right RB for our scheme. Unlike my worries about the DL and secondary, I really am not worried at all about RB.

Murray was only 51 and that was with the biggest holes in the league.

Murray can't run in open space. Period. I hope they aren't basing ingram off of the game he had against the Cowboys in 2013-14 season lol
