Well Dilpher has a Superbowl victory on his resume. I know there are only wins and losses in a category for all quarterbacks.

No matter how the game is played, all I hear from people is how one quarterback is better than another quarterback because one quarterback has a championship game or a Superbowl on his resume as an argument as too why he's worth more than another quarterback.

So again.... we can't switch rules for quarterbacks. Because we all know damn well that Purdy couldn't have "led" any of these other teams to a Superbowl without that roster and that great offensive mind in K. Shanahan.
His last name is spelled “Dilfer”. He was a crappy QB who got carried to a SB win. Go checkout his career numbers and winning percentage.

Thanks for the the name correction. My point is this. People always bring up a quarterback's playoff/Superbowl appearance or victories as if the quarterbacks don't have 52 other players, a front office and a coaching staff that helps to get them there.

No matter what stats Dilfer had or didn't have, he was the quarterback of a Superbowl winning team. Every quarterback who has ever won a Superbowl didn't all have All-Pro performances in the playoffs
and Superbowls..... yet they are given credit for leading their team to those victories because of the quarterback position.

When negotiating a QB contract playoff wins and SB’s are going to be used as leverage. Mentioning Dilfer was a bad choice. Any QB could have won a SB with the 2000 Ravens. No one gives Dilfer any credit for that win.

People really knock Dilfer but they don't realize how tough a guy he was and that he played during a time when defenses were knocking out WRs going over the middle and knocking out QBs with nasty hits. Defenses were allowed to intimidate their opponents and that's why rules were changed to protect offenses. There are QBs playing today that wouldn't survive in those days yet people love to throw out how QBs today are better than back in those days. Can't compare because the rules changed to protect QBs and WRs.

I have a feeling San Fran will get away signing him for a team friendly deal, the kid looks like he wants to win and already accomplished much more than what was expected from him. Just our luck, they will have their QB of the future at a bargain price, much better run organization.

Dak has better stats. Dak > Purdy. 49ers team > Cowboys team. Know the difference.

Purdy will set the market.
Dak is washed and It's going to get worse. Head to head purdy played better than Dak and SF had a lot of injuries like DC. Purdy won't set the market.

He was tough but not a quality QB.

LOL...you don't need a cap-friendly Purdy deal to say something negative about how Dak handled his contract. It's obvious Dak wanted every dime he could get, regardless of football accomplishments. In other words, Dak's contract was negotiated strictly on the business side, ( leverage, market value ) vs Mahomes priority was football first (although he had way more leverage than Dak ) then business.
What was Romo's leverage? Simply curious to hear your take.

So what? The 49ers haven't won in 30 years and aren't winning this year. Their key players are in a down trend.
We're talking about individual player accomplishments that are used in contract negotiations. Can't strawman.
