Your not kidding lol, that was one thing I enjoyed this morning on my way into work was listening to Texan fans calling in.

I normally don't take pleasure in other people's misery, but the calls were hilarious. "Just sign somebody!" Host: "Who did you have in mind?" Caller: "Man, I don't know. There's gotta be somebody out there!"

You are correct on 2-of-3. There were calls for backups, Vince Young, fire the GM, fire Kubiak..

No different from here.. Change the name, but the blame game's the same. ;)

If we're trying to justify our futility by saying it happens with the Texans too...then the Cowboys have fallen even more than I thought....and Cowboy fans' expectations have really sunk as well. I have not heard one Yankee fan say today..."ah we stunk, but look at the Mets they didnt make the playoffs, either".

Yea I imagine most fans on any board are all upset after a loss. The Texans haven't looked good this year as expected. The Cowboys have been about as good/bad as expected.

Can I have "Jumping to conclusions for $100, Alex?"

@BoysFan4ever knows that I live in Houston, so it was just an OT add-on to the discussion.

True on both points.. They're both 2-2. But what's funnier about the Texans is they were going to crack on the Cowboys loss and when the DJ who supports the Cowboys said they had the same record. They just said, "Oh" and went on bashing the Texans. Cowboys gave them no satisfaction this weekend. lol

If there is any consistancy to Dallas' inconsistancy, they'll win, then lost to Washington.

Yeah I know, many want TJ Yates to take over. I don't think Houston is ready to pin their hopes on Yates just yet. That would be a big risk to put the season on the line this early

Well, you know the backup is always the most popular player when the starter is struggling. I don't know about Yates, but if they continue to spiral, they might have to.

I know I'm not feeling that way I can't speak for Woodgirl. As for Cowboy fans expectation predicting Dallas to get blow out next game is that what some have sunk to? I expect Cowboys to go out and play hard and win.

Yes the guy on the bench is always the best option until the guy on the bench comes in. My own view if Houston felt like Yates gives them the best chance to win then they will put him in but coaches have to go by what they know and what they see on a day in and day out basis. There could come a point where they may choose to go to Yates

We are not going to play a finer team all season long. We are not expected to win this game but what if we do? Surely this is the sort of game you can build a season on.

Knowing the Cowboys if they were to pull off the upset next Sunday they'll end up losing to Washington the following week.

I appreciate your positive spin. I really and truly do. I wish I could look at so many things in life as you look at this team. I am very serious too.

But...I gotta ask...this isnt the Bengals, Browns, Cardinals, Jaguars....don't you expect and want more out of your team than 2-3 with the hopes of beating Washington to have a "strong hold on the division" at 3-3??

Sorry man. I just don't see how this defense gets Peyton Manning off the field enough to keep this close. They're playing like the Moss/Brady 2007 Patriots where you're lucky to keep them under 40. The two good QBs we faced have completely shredded our pass defense. We were fortunate that NYG turned it over 6 times. Don't expect Peyton to gift-wrap 2 INTs on screen passes like brother Eli. Like any other fan, I'll be watching, cheering and hoping for the best...

Winning games not expected to win and losing games we expected to win was the Cowboys' hallmark under Wade. Now it's just losing the winnable games is the current Cowboys' hallmark.

Peyton Manning has thrown for more TD passes after the first 4 games than any QB in NFL history while the Cowboys defense is giving up TD passes at an alarming rate. Think about that while you attempt to get your juices flowing for next weeks Cowboys/Broncos matchup.

Broncos are over the clouds right now. I wouldn't be surprised if Dallas wins.

Also there is the theory of averages.

Peyton threw 16 TD's with 0 INT. He is due a crappy game I think.

what makes you think we can get 23?

I say broncos 28, cowboys 10

What makes you think Denver will only score 28 points? They haven't scored under 37 all season and Manning is on FIRE. The Cowboys will be very lucky to only give up 28 points to this Denver team. The NFL hasn't seen as an explosive an offense like Denver's since the 07 Pats and that team put up over 40 on a Cowboys team that started 5-0.

it'll only be "season-defining" if the cowboys win.......otherwise, it's business as usual
