Their new coach kinda screwed them over. You don't openly say you want Matt Cassel if there's a strong possibility you won't get him you idiot. You trade for him and then trade Cutler.

Cutler is going to be traded for a top ten pick.

I'm on the phone if I'm Detroit.

I wonder if Detroit would be willing to trade the 1st pick for him. The cap hit for that pick is enormous and if they could get Cutler plus another pick for it they would be sitting pretty and not have that huge cap hit for an unproven player.

Exactly, said it in another post where someone asked what would you do if we had the first overall pick. Said I'd trade it and a 3rd for Cutler and Denver's 2nd. Then trade Cutler. They'd definitely take the first overall heads up for him.

Oh yeah. The first pick plus a second and third. If not a third, a 4th. Perfect.

You do if you dont want to start your reign with Cutler.

Just Please, NOT to the Commanders.

I had the same thought.

And I'm sure Detroit would love to trade their #1 for him. But it would be a horrible deal for Denver. No one wants that gargantuan contract the #1 overall brings. Especially this year when the draft is weak at the top anyway.

That would be awesome if he went to the Commanders.

The rivalry would reach epic proportions.

Can you guys imagine Romo pulling this crap if a new Cowboys coach showed interest in trading for another QB? Me neither.

Cutler's a piece of crap who has done NOTHING in the NFL to warrant the attitude he's showing.

Newsflash, Diva: you're not Tom Brady. You're not Peyton Manning. You're Jay Cutler, a non untouchable QB who hasn't even been to the playoffs, despite playing in possibly the weakest division in football.

Player wise, the only thing that holds the Commanders back from being superior is Jason Campbell. Get them a QB like Cutler and they'd be a serious force.

Can Bowlen get any dumber?

If the situation is beyond repair, you don't announce that to the entire league because now you lose leverage come trade time.

It doesn't take a SWAT team negotiator or Warren Buffet to figure that out.

YAKUZA
and Jerry is the worst GM in the league?

You know what team may be stewing right now? The Kansas City Chiefs - Pioli may be calling McDaniels every name in the book right now.

Bear with me: let's say Cutler is traded for the #1 overall pick. Detroit still has #20 and can pick a OT or defensive help.

Broncos now have #1 overall and their own pick at #12. They could go Stafford, but their defense is a mess and they choose the best player in the draft in Curry. He works as an OLB in a 3-4. Curry's no longer available for the Chiefs and they look elsewhere.

They still have their #12 pick. They could chance that Sanchez will bypass the 49ers and fall into their lap or leapfrog them with a team that seems non-committal like the Jaguars or Packers in exchange for a third rounder.

It's hard to imagine scoring a better coup than Curry and Sanchez to start off your draft.

I agree.

I believe the Cowboys are every bit as scary if they run on all cylinders.

This would fire me up...and I'm not even on the team. If you have a pulse, a signing like this to your biggest rival gives you incentive to be the best. This is what makes football king...huge rivalries....

Bring...them...on.
