Miller in the 4th. So you like Isreal better than Miller? Love Isreal, but 1/3 of his TD's were in two games against Rhode Island I think and Las Vegas or something like that. Played a lot of bad competition.
TCU is my 2nd favorite college team. I seen his entire college career. I would absolutely love Miller in the 4th round.

Lance Zierlein's scoffs at your Miller love. His 13th ranked RB with an average backup/special teamer grade.

-

Overview
The size and production will check important boxes, but Miller’s lack of tempo and explosiveness between the tackles could turn him into a grinder against the speed of NFL defenses. His restricted stride length provides greater control to cut early in the run, but it works against him when he needs to hit the gas and stride past linebackers. He has the size and strength to keep runs moving though contact, although he could be an even better run finisher. His third-down value is relatively low, so he will need to sell himself as an early down backup on the next level.

He's referring to this comment from Dane in his 7 round mock.

As one plugged-in league source told me about Mayer and the Cowboys: “I just can’t see Dallas passing.”

The Cowboys are looking for a tight end who can hold his own as a blocker but also move the sticks as a receiving threat. If Mayer makes it this far, it’s a good bet he will have a star on his helmet.

A lot of people in denial around here.

Say hello to your new tight end. It's inevitable. It's fate.

At least after every play he makes we can go Mayer for Mayor! HahaCowboys.

Don’t get why we are so off on Mayer. Dude is a consensus first round pick and has been so since he was a sophomore. I get if you don’t like TE first, that’s sensible. But let’s not act like that prospect is a reach in any way.

Washington is an injury machine waiting to happen. The guy is simply too big and too plodding to last in the NFL. Big feet, clumsy. I just see bust all over that guy. Short NFL career unless he just does lots of blocking.
DW has an injury history?

You know where to find it.

Cowboys
1(26) Michael Mayer TE Notre Dame
2(58) Daiyan Henley LB Washington St.
3(90) Anthony Bradford G LSU
4(129) Tyler Lacy DT Oklahoma St.
5(169) Jake Moody K Michigan
6(212) Clayton Tune QB Houston
7(244) Durrell Johnson EDGE Liberty
Well I was expecting a running back the fourth round.
certainly I expected a running back before a kicker or backup quarterback. Enjoy your day

As long as I can scream “It’s MILLER TIME!” At the TV every time Pollard needs a break.

Yikes.

Dane has to know Dallas will take a RB.
Wonder if the scouts really like Washington under the radar.
I have heard they would like to add a back, but they feel that Ronald Jones could fill that role. I don't believe that for one second.

Mayer makes too much sense. They want to shift back to a potent run game and what better guy than a stud like Mayer that is nasty and can also make the passing game take the next step? Hes a football player all the way. These are the type of guys you win championships with. You add Mayer and a RB in the 3rd or 4th with a guard in the 2nd and now were mauling people on offense.
As we discussed, I like Kincaid a little more, but I am totally fine with Mayer, he is a legitimate talent at the position and would fill a huge need.

I’m warming up to Mayer at 26 but this feels very meh overall to me and that were just drafting for need every pick.
He is a very good player, huge upgrade over what we have and from Shultz. No, he isn't that modern mismatch guy, but more of that Jason Witten type as he can actually block.

I hope we take a RB and a CB somewhere in a ridiculously deep class. It would be a shame to not grab one when there is value so much cheaper this year. It may be a while before we will see this kind of quality available in R3 and beyond.
