So did I.

Really though, I think he's just like so many fans on here. They make an initial judgement on a pick and they stick to it come hell or high water. If they say someone is not going to be very good then they point out the negatives as long as they can in an attempt to be correct in their first call on that player.

IMO, it seems like the bigger the fan and the more they love their team, the quicker they are to say they were wrong about not liking someone and are just happy that their team found a good player. A person who is just a casual fan cares less about how the team does than they do about being right or wrong.

Not saying I'm right but that's how it seems to me.

Broaddus isn't a Dallas fan. He's a Broaddus being correct fan. If his initial take is that a player isn't good... it is going to take a lot of indisputably good play to make him say he was wrong. That's if he ever will.
That is correct ** a prime example of his I'm always right attitude was when the Cowboys, drafted Jaylon Smith, over his man crush Myles Jack he went absolutely ballistic with his scathing analysis of the Smith pick talking about other team doctors told him that with the injury that Smith suffered in college is guaranteed to never play a down in the NFL, according to Broaddus on that very show The Break that day going into Eagleton, about how the Cowboys made a mistake not drafting Jack never mind the fact that the Cowboys own team Dr. Cooper performed Smith's surgery who gave the team full confidence that Smith's nerve will fire up to where he can resume his playing career but No!!!. Broaddus it seems was calling the team doctor a liar because he believed what other team doctors said to him about Smith never playing again meanwhile I haven't heard Jack's name this season don't know what's going with him in Jacksonville, but all signs are positive about Smith's prognosis as we all know and if he can heal up and play like he's capable of playing then this 2016 draft class is shaping to be one of the Cowboys best.

I watched the show. Didnt see anything remotely like you were describing. I'm thinking you're just too sensitive.
So he didn't interrupt Eagleton, say "get mad if you want to" like a 2 year old, tell him to look at the whole body of work which he was doing, look surly for the rest of the show and leave very abruptly when the show was over? OK.

I just watched the podcast of today's show. Broadus was unreasonably argumentative with Derek Eagleton about Dak's performance. He even told Derek "you can get mad if you want to." All Derek was saying was that Dak has been impressive. Broadus kept interrupting him saying "look at the total body of work" (which Derek was IMO). Broadus kept saying that Dak has made mistakes in every game and Derek said that's true of 99% of all QBs. Broadus was being horribly unprofessional to the point where Nick and Taylor weren't their usual playful selves like they were trying to stay out of it. Derek kept drumming his fingers on the desk, but overall he handled it well. As the show went on, Broadus sat there with a sour look on his face, interjecting insightful comments now and then (I'll give him that). When the show ended, he hopped up immediately and walked out. He normally lingers for a little bit, at least longer than that.

In my opinion, Broadus is a short-tempered know-it-all, but today took the cake for me. I have no problem with heated conversation. It makes the show interesting. But I think it's time for Broadus to move on (or be let go) from The Break and stick to the draft shows or fantasy football type stuff. He is such a grump.

He has never liked Prescott and hates being wrong. Pathetic.

I'm guessing you just didn't like what he was saying. If he had the opposite side of that argument this thread wouldn't exist.

Looked like men taking about football to me.

You're speculating and guessing wrong. I could say that you don't have a problem with it because you agree with what he was saying, which would be speculation on my part. And it doesnt matter that they're men. You can save that crap. Let's just agree to disagree.

I see the OP's point. Broadus does take himself and his opinions a bit seriously. He certainly has more valid experience, but he's gotta chill a bit. It's a talk show, that's all.

And I've noticed that before with Brian.

As for the notion he should lose his job...hmm....don't see that.

It's a curious show....never listened before with this cast.

Where it does seem that Taylor knows her stuff and is articulate.... I enjoyed hearing her views until she started to refer to Cowboy players as "kids." Isn't she the same age as some of the players?

yeh who is she and why is she there? i know why Broadus is there but her? not saying she doesn't belong but how do people get to be picked to be on that show? do they hold certain knowledge or talking cowboys abilities that other folks who are not on the show hold? curious.

Just watched show. I thought there was going to be some actual on set fighting . They were just going back and forth. Nothing out of the ordinary. Broaddus wasn't in his face yelling.

I watched the show before making a comment and I didn't see what the OP was talking about. Broaduss was being Broaduss. Looked like a typical debate amongst fans. Actually it was more civial than the typical debate amongst fans lol. I've seen far far worst on the show than this. It was actually a pretty boring show IMO.

I personally like his indsight. He's not always right but he knows more football than anyone on this forum

Yeah..

But his job is to add incite..

not stir the pot.

He's frustrated..

he's being outperformed by younger reporters.

I find Laufenberg the same way.

He has opinion on everything Cowboys and if he gets challenged..

will brood and stop talking.

It's the parts of the telecast I like the most..

when he shuts up.

He's always got some sort of humorous story to tell on air designed to show how smart he is..

but it ends up as some self_depreciating humor nobody cares about.

Boring.

You don't know my point of view. Broadus was rude to Eagleton who is the host. It was unprofessional how he expressed himself.

I listened, but didn't watch. Broaddus wasn't unprofessional at all. He was direct and adamant, to be sure, but I think what you're reading as unprofessional is merely that he didn't say what you wanted to hear.

Where do you all get this from? This has nothing to do with the topic of discussion but Bryan's demeanor, tone and behavior. I mentioned the subject because if iI hadn't, someone would've asked what were they saying.

At one point, they even focused one of the cameras solely on Bryan's sour face for like a whole 45 seconds. I watch it all the time and they never do this. It was clear even the production team was aware of his saltiness and wanted to make sure they captured it.

The next time I mention The Break or Talkin' Cowboys, I will leave out the subject of conversation and focus on the people who spoke because once you mention what is said, people choose sides instead of focusing on the subject matter, which is my opinion that Broadus who is always surly, is now to the point of disrespectful.

It's cool for you to have a different take on what took place, but to tell me what i did or did not want to hear when you don't even know my stance is ridiculous. It's as if nobody read my original post.

In any event, Broadus needs to co-exist with the crew or move on. I for one don't tune in to watch him interrupt others or snap at fans (he does less of the latter at least). I love watching the show and appreciate his insight, but dude needs to take a chill pill.

I agree. He is the type that makes a snap judgment and defend it to his death. Everything he writes about Dak is colored by his original reports. He does this a lot and he is worthless in my book.

Ok. Does anyone like Micky?

I think I liked Steve Dennis better and he seemed like a moron.

BB is good. He did get a little angry today. Probably just because he knows the inevitable will happen and Tony will start. No matter what nearly anyone's opinion is.

Micky on the other hand is a ****. Ive really started not to like him at all and have had a couple twitter arguments with him about his stupid answers to callers on the show. Does anyone remember when he literally yelled at a caller for suggesting we trade Tony? Micky said it was impossible because we would have to come up with the whatever million to pay Tony and we couldn't. Thus making the trade impossible. Now I know we won't trade Tony but his argument literally made no sense. I wondered if he caught himself.

I didn't see any heated argument. I didn't see him get angry or storm off. There are many reasons why Broaddus sucks but this wasn't one of them.

LOL. I'm embarrassed to share a team with some of you.

For the rational, watch the show. All he's saying is Romo's a better QB right now and Prescott misses throws every week.

Two statements that are without a doubt true.
