Bryan Broadus should be fired from The Break

I just watched the podcast of today's show. Broadus was unreasonably argumentative with Derek Eagleton about Dak's performance. He even told Derek "you can get mad if you want to." All Derek was saying was that Dak has been impressive. Broadus kept interrupting him saying "look at the total body of work" (which Derek was IMO). Broadus kept saying that Dak has made mistakes in every game and Derek said that's true of 99% of all QBs. Broadus was being horribly unprofessional to the point where Nick and Taylor weren't their usual playful selves like they were trying to stay out of it. Derek kept drumming his fingers on the desk, but overall he handled it well. As the show went on, Broadus sat there with a sour look on his face, interjecting insightful comments now and then (I'll give him that). When the show ended, he hopped up immediately and walked out. He normally lingers for a little bit, at least longer than that.

In my opinion, Broadus is a short-tempered know-it-all, but today took the cake for me. I have no problem with heated conversation. It makes the show interesting. But I think it's time for Broadus to move on (or be let go) from The Break and stick to the draft shows or fantasy football type stuff. He is such a grump.
I like talking cowboys more. Nate is a hoot. But I do faithfully listen to both. Bluetooth is an awesome tool.
Spags and Broadus get on my nerves, but I'm addicted to Cowboy talk.

Ok. Does anyone like Micky?

I think I liked Steve Dennis better and he seemed like a moron.

BB is good. He did get a little angry today. Probably just because he knows the inevitable will happen and Tony will start. No matter what nearly anyone's opinion is.

Micky on the other hand is a ****. Ive really started not to like him at all and have had a couple twitter arguments with him about his stupid answers to callers on the show. Does anyone remember when he literally yelled at a caller for suggesting we trade Tony? Micky said it was impossible because we would have to come up with the whatever million to pay Tony and we couldn't. Thus making the trade impossible. Now I know we won't trade Tony but his argument literally made no sense. I wondered if he caught himself.

I like mickey and enjoy reading his stuff.

I don't mind that.. At this stage of his young career and while I am so impressed with his on/off the field conduct I don't feeling comfortbale with everyone anointing the young lad. Let someone tell him something that makes him get better instead of preparing his HOF bust.

Also, remember, radio and TV always schemes their shows with multiple hosts to have at least two going for opposite sides to create a debate.. Look at Max Kellerman (A known giants fan, Cowboy-hater) and he keep taking the side (Skip's previous role) to defend and argument for Dallas. So keep that in mind

Derk is Brians boss ....... if there was really a problem it would get handled ....... Brians role on the show is to be the guy who "tells his opinion no matter what"

If you can't have a grumpy old rude guy on a sports show...it's just not a sports show.
Sometimes it is Broaddus, sometimes it is mickey...frankly I enjoy it when broaddus and mickey bumps heads.

Yeah there needs to be more head bumps. More dissenttion. More rebuttal. That table needs to be flipped. cowboyszone has reached civil war levels with a good problem. Leave the kumbaya stuff to that cover 4 show. Haha

Well ahhh.... ahhhh....

You're right.

His knowledge is not the problem, but I don't tune in to watch him sulk and sit there with a scowl on his face. He used to be really rude to callers, but they must've warned him about that because he stopped.

Everyone has an off day at work - randomly.

I didn't see anything wrong when I watched it.

He did seem in a bad mood.

What happened yesterday was nothing. He has had some extreme battles with Mickey when he was on talking cowboys.
He can get a bit petulant at times when challenged because he studies film while the others are mostly just talking heads
repeating what other media types spout off. I can tell you that he's not always right and has admitted so on the air
countless times. If you do the research on film like he does, he is more likely to respect your opinions if you differ from him.
If you don't like him or the Cowboy's shows, there's always the Fish if you want to pay some dollars.

I've met Broaddus, Spagnola, and Scham. All three are really nice in person.

With that said, Brad is the only one that I like listening to.

Yeah..

But his job is to add incite..

not stir the pot.

He's frustrated..

he's being outperformed by younger reporters.

I find Laufenberg the same way.

He has opinion on everything Cowboys and if he gets challenged..

will brood and stop talking.

It's the parts of the telecast I like the most..

when he shuts up.

He's always got some sort of humorous story to tell on air designed to show how smart he is..

but it ends up as some self_depreciating humor nobody cares about.

Boring.
That's why Broaddus and Babe don't like each other. Broaddus even admitted that.

I agreed with everything Nick and Brian said on the show yesterday.

They actually have some common sense when it comes to this situation and hopefully the coaching staff does too.

I didn't see the clip (so not the full story) but from the OP, it sounds like Eagleton was being rational.

I do think Brian adds more insight that many of those clowns on the radio though. Steve Dennis, for example. But his personality can be a bit sour.

Dak has been incredible. All year but I agree he did not play that well against green bay
