It's like people forget that the Rams were a dropped pick six from watching the 49ers in the Super Bowl. Just because the DB didn't catch it doesn't change the fact that it was a stupid call and a stupid decision to throw it where he did. Yet he got away with it. That happened a lot for Stafford that season including the playoffs. Sometimes a team or a player just has a magical year where everything they touch turns to gold. Then they come crashing back to Earth. I may be in the minority, but I honestly don't want the Cowboys to put together one magical Super Bowl season then turn into what the Rams are right now. No thank you.. I much prefer a consistently good and competitive team that doesn't count only a bunch of questionable calls and lucky bounces to get to the promised land. I want my team to win because they are the better team above all else. If they don't and they're not then it hurts, but I can handle that better than one year wondering.

The Cowboys can build on what they have in place now. They have a borderline great defense.. a good QB, good special teams, a good (not great) offensive line and quite possibly a super explosive WR corps. Shake it up and add good coaching and I think we're setup nicely for a good long run of contending. No there is no guarantee they will win anything with this group.. but at some point, you either have to learn to enjoy the journey or jump off the damn train. I prefer the former.. At my age I might break something when I hit the ground the other way.
Correct, it's funny or ironic ,that there isn't a lot of talk about Matthew Stafford have it over 20 turnovers, two in the Super bowl alone, and act like he's better than Prescott

no he had a better team than Prescott

I believe a Prescott was on that team they still would have gone to and won the Super bowl and I'm betting he probably doesn't have those 20 turnovers.. Stafford's defense bailed him out time and time again he has better coaching, better defense, plays in a better offense at the time as far as scheme/playcalling then Daks played in..

Sorry mate but just because you didn't know about them doesn't mean they didn't exist. Are you one of those people who thinks the Internet was invented in the 90's by Al Gore?
Actually, the internet opened to the public in 1991.

Before that, everyone online used dial-up Bulletin Board Systems (BBS) and online services like CompuServe, America Online, etc.

This may be semantics, but if I was not a member of any government or defense entity before 1991, yet I was able to access information online was that information not by definition "public." Just because they came up with clever terms like "the world wide web" and "the internet" doesn't change the fact that there were hundreds if not thousands of forums publicly available via different avenues like AOL, CompuServe, Prodigy et al.

 :facepalm:Biggest problem is the amount of fans out there that dont understand football or QB play. What it takes for a QB to be able to do his job properly. All the things that he has to rely on or have work before he can play up to his potential.

Most fans are just smart enough to realize that guys like Mahomes and Brady are great QB's and thats about it. EVEN THEN they typically have to see some kind of great TEAM success for them to realize that.
Oh....but you do.....of course.

Well I'm not following this entire conversation but I got to tell you that in 1991 I didn't find any chat rooms or anything you could stay on to follow the Dallas Cowboys without being bumped off every two minutes and that was slow as hell and it was not very user friendly to the public. It got tons better around 1996 but before that literally you still have to use the newspaper if you were lucky to have premium cable and had one ESPN and you were forced to watch the one game on Sunday or Monday it's a completely different animal now I mean it's saturation of social media TMZ people following around players people picking apart every aspect of a player online.. So I don't think anything that was in 1991 can be compared to now and really again I had a computer I think in 1993 and it was horrible lol and all that stuff the dial-up being bumped off and taking forever it would take like 12 minutes to download a picture lol again I apologize because I don't know what you guys are talking about but I saw the Internet in 1991 and I just thought I'd chime in about my experience.

the biggest problem with dak is not only some of his interceptions but if you get to the line and can't read what the defense is gonna give you that's a big problem since he's not a rookie well that's even a bigger problem. just go back to the san francisco game. Not last years but the year before and you will see some of his throws were not bad but his reads were just awful and a lot of x- qb's were saying this with a lot of former players. dak needs to many things to go right and if he's has to take on a defense he folds. so he's a good qb but the Jones want him to be THE MAN so in result no super bowl for this team and that's the bottom dollar. unfortunately what a waste especially with a very good defense this year. SEE YOU AT NEXT YEARS DRAFT

Alot of x-QB's and players say Dak doesn't know how to read a defense? I must have missed this... no doubt you may can show Cowherd or skip but lets not confuse either of those with real football experts..lol

Well, I admit to zoning out on some of this Prescott stuff. I know I shouldn't but I am sick of hearing his name and seeing his face. I have nothing against the man but there are some people with seriously disturbing man crushes and obsessions with him. He's just a lucky guy that happened to have it all fall his way in that 2016 draft.

I am so sick of discussing him, I wish Booger had pulled off that trade for Lynch.

That is what I said. BBS sites and online services had forums back then. The internet though did not become public until 1991 so I mentioned how people used forums before then.
This nebulous term you call "the internet" is an invention. It was coined to make it marketable. Just like the "world wide web" and "the information superhighway." They all describe the same thing.. The interconnected network of computer systems. Shortened to "the internet." My point is that it existed and was publicly available well before anybody called it any of those clever names. They were not "private." Thousands of people frequented them. Only before web browsers you had to hunt and peck to find stuff. My favorite BBS site back in the day was rec.sports.football.. under which you could find nfl and ncaa and under those you could find specific teams. rec.sports.football.nfl.dallascowboys was.. well that part should be self explanatory. But there were forums for all manner of crap back even then.. Mostly porn of course but there was science, tv shows, movies, porn, hobbies.. and did I mention porn? Web browsers and search engines made it so you could find sites on different subject matters in multiple locations without actually knowing the full URLs. That is what made the internet consumable for the masses. But to proclaim that it was not available to the public before then is simply inaccurate. It absolutely was. You just had to know how to find it. Which I did.. Cause, you know.. computer geek and all.
