It's not deflecting. It is reading comprehension plain and simple and you took one part out of the whole thing and made it a Dak thing. You have serious issues. I basically clowned you on a post that supported your position and rather than just go with it, you decided to look the fool. Here is the post. Any rational poster without a far Dak opinion on one side or the other can see this. In fact the first sentence sets up the rest but I'm sure this is what made your RIF teachers pull their hair out. In fact my last sentence is where I place blame and you still don't get it. It's embarrassing.

"The issue isn’t Dak per se. He’s part of the systematic issue that Romo, Dak, the Jones family, etc bring and that’s too much talk. If Dak made the NFCCG twice and was knocking this wouldn’t be an issue. Same with the teams the last 2-3 decades. The franchise is stuck in the vortex and the QBs haven’t helped matters so they get blame. But the JG era is what put alot of stank on it."
So when you said the QBs are to blame you didnt mean the QB's are to blame?

The only guy that looks like the fool is the one who cant remember what he said.

He is one of the ones who can never admit they are wrong. No need to try and explain it further to him. He is obtuse intentionally.
Yup understood! Completely irrational with no ability to think or read.! It’s unreal that a rational post just turns into an attack because someone can’t have a normal conversation.

If you think Dak/Kyler/Cousins/Watson got what they deserved, then you think it's OK.
Not what I’m saying. I’m just saying that I understand what Market Price means which is over paying at least initially. That’s just how the NFL works . That doesn’t mean it’s OK. I just accept it for what it is.

Dak is on year 8, basically playing in the same offense. He’s been baby-sat. 7 years is enough to be able to stream-line the throws and plays you are good at. Any NFL QB that had average skills, surrounded by this talent, with this amount of repetitions should get better. The fact he looks better in an offense than his back-ups on certain throws is a completely asinine take.

The fact is, Dak is out here making the same bone-headed throws that he would get looking on in his career, particularly considering he wasn’t throwing as much. Now he’s getting picked off more and fumbling more, as his responsibilities increased.

Dude has completely peaked.

Now the last remaining excuse is, “play calling” and a “new offense”. Guess what? They aren’t ultimately changing the offense, Dak doesn’t have the mental fortitude and you have a lot of the same players starting next year. Dallas had significant issues with a much better QB in Romo trying to go to more of a West Coast type with Callahan, coupled with Garrett trying to interfere.

Does anybody think Jerry is going to re-live that experiment? No, it’s why they constantly talk about play calling, not a new offense.

If you’re considered a top 10 caliber QB you are going to fetch top or near top of the Market Price .

It’s not ok and most don’t agree with it. But most NFL owners continue paying it . It’s part of the business . In most cases their pecking order in salaries drops significantly as the years go by.

Daks salary has already dropped to like 7th or 8th. Regardless , it doesn’t matter. Until we have more success in the playoffs some fans will continue using his salary as a talking point.

He was bashed by most of the same fans on his Rookie deal. Over paying a Franchise QB unfortunately is pretty much status quo for the NFL.

I agree with Roy on many fronts. I’ve also argued with him on others endlessly.

Roy feels very strongly about his opinions . And doesn’t waver. He’s intent on taking on this criticism that Dak isn’t a Top 10 caliber type QB. I admire anyone who feels so strongly to take on a Lynch Mob as I have done the same with some issues .

And when you are saying that’s not what the word you typed he often can interpret them as to say something else as some fans waffle on the Dak discussion. I have changed my views over the years on him. Much like I did with Romo. Dak can look Top 10 much of the time while laying more turds than I’d prefer.

While I don’t totally agree with Roy’s stance , I can agree with much of it. I think sometimes as I even do with some of the fans here I’m usually aligned with, sometimes our intentions aren’t always correctly expressed with our words and then others can misconstrue or misunderstand their meaning or intent .

I have generally agreed with your post in this thread but I can also see how Roy may have taken part of that post as holding the QB more responsible . Hope that helps .

Diehard, much respect and I get that but my issue is I explained my intention...like 5 times...yet it was taken as hostile like I was trying to secretly hate on Dak. The reality of it is, we have a lot of issues and sometimes it is the QB...been this way before day too. But both he and Romo had great qualities too. Organization as a whole though is a lot of it. I'm kind of middle of the road around here...not that I'm afraid of a strong opinion...I hated Garrett. But my opinions are weekly. Credit is given and credit is taken away. I won't take a hard stance but am realistic as to my thoughts. Thanks man!

Understood but the basis of this thread topic is those fans who want to walk away from Dak. Like he’s the sole reason or cause for lack of more success .

It’s not about breaking down each game or season . It’s a broad stroke. And it’s intent is to attack or call out those who don’t buy into Dak is enough of a franchise QB to build around .

The rest we can dissect until the cows come home. Lol

Nope. If you are saying they were worth what they got, then you are saying it's OK, plain and simple!!

You cannot receive top 10 pay and then play horribly in the playoffs w/o a pile of consernation coming your way.

NO QB is worth it.

So in your mind, what is Dak worth?
I wouldn't even consider paying him 50M a year. I understand players like Mahomes don't grow on trees. But players like Dak? Not so rare.

Here you go with the Mahomes obsession. Do you even realize how rare it is to get a Mahomes? There wont be one for another 20 or 30 years. And what are the odds we get him?

So how much would you pay Dak?

Is that why he has lead the #1 scoring offense in football while at QB the last 3 years?

Surrounded by the talent? You mean an offense featuring and old and sad Zeke with an average oline, and Lamb as the only good receiver? With Moore as the OC?

BWAAAAAAA!!!!!

Another laughable troll post gets punted!

Only excuse the last two years are the Niners are a better football team than the Cowboys. Simple football analysis.

I'm not looking for a QB like Mahomes. Just a cheaper version of Dak. Dak is the type of QB you move on from after his rookie contract. I certainly wouldn't give him a 3rd contract. A QB like Dak needs to be on a rookie contract.

How can I possibly have a rational conversation with a poster like you?

Per McCarthy, the reason we scored too much was because of Moore, not Dak, which is why Moore is gone and they need to go to a run control ballgame to “rest the defense””…

You can't, I'm not mentally stable. But I'm not far behind those that want to pay, or think it's a good idea to pay a QB like Dak 50M a year.
