ESPN would have interuppted live coverage of the World Series and done an hour long special on this if you change the involved name to T. Owens.

His excuse to Coughlin was probably that he was at the club all night and overslept...

This isn't his first time of being late or missing meetings.

You really think this is the first time?

They "punished" him now because it does not cost them anything to do it.

It costs them a game. Do you think he deserves more than a one game suspension even if this wasn't his first time? Steve Smith got two games for beating up a teammate. Is missing meetings equal or worse than beating up a teammate?

Laugh it up I think JJ will have a big game against them If I was Seattle I would stack the box shut the run game down completely put Trufant on Toomer and force Eli to beat them.

As soon as JJ rushes for good numbers against a good defense I will listen to what you're saying.

  • Bills (12th against the rush): 13 for 45 (3.4 avg)
  • 49ers (21st against the rush): 26 for 127 (4.8 avg)
  • Rams (29th against the rush): 22 for 140 (6.3 avg)

Currently the Giants are 7th against the rush. I suspect Jones is going to be left for dead in this game.

In Oakland, they would have given him a raise for that.

Suspending a key player for one game with the way this division looks to be playing out, is proper punishment imo. Especially for missing meetings during a bye week.

I think the biggest difference is the fact Jones didn't have 20 + carriers and not the fact that the Bills defense was so good. I think he will put up big numbers against the Giants.

Remember JJ's first 2 breakout games here in '04...

The T-Giving Bears game where the Bears were missing Brian Urlacher.

The week after, the Hawks had a decimated LB corps.

Since then, he really dropped off.

Pt being that he's potentially following the same pattern in Seattle like he did here. The first couple of games looks like an All Pro, albeit against poor D's, then a bad game got the dominos falling.

Its funny cuz if felix were putting these numbers up against these teams you guys would put him in the Ring of Honor Hall of Fame consider him All-Pro put him in the Pro-bowl and consider him ROY and MVP

Randy Moss and Plaxico Burress are up to their old tricks.

With Brady out, Moss is sulking, playing half-speed and sitting at the end of the bench by himself.

Now Burress resorts to his old antics just weeks after getting his money.

Meanwhile, Terrell Owens is chasing down interceptors from 50 yards, throwing blocks downfield, scoring touchdowns and behaving himself.

Yea TO is a pro no matter what has been said about him and he's always tried to make his team win.

If you recall in the '04 draft-JuJo was ranked LOW on the RB chart. It was b/c Parcells traded out of the first round that put us in this situation-by the time it came our turn to pick in the 2nd round, he was our only option(word had it that Tuna wanted to trade back into the 1st to nab Kevin Jones).

Nobody's crowning anyone, just saying that JJ wasn't very good to begin with.

That and if Philly gets into a slump, look for DeSean Jackson to pull similar stunts as well. You saw the Pitt game last week where he pulled up lazy on a route or 2(one of which resulted in an INT).

I agree-we should be happy that we have TO.

Jones goes down on first contact. Thats a fact. The Giants are a good run stopping team. They WILL make contact with him. Jones was exposed in Dallas and he will be exposed in Seattle.

I don't know if you consider a 2nd round prospect Low on the radar. However I thought BP wanted Jackson and if he was there he would have taken him ???

I don't follow. He missed meetings this Monday. Should they wait another month before making a decision? Surely this doesn't warrant more than a 1 game suspension. The reason they probably made it a two week suspension is because this is their bye week. I doubt he deserves to miss 2 games. I am actually surprised he is getting suspended for a game at all and not just fined. That must have been a terrible excuse he gave of course he has always come across as a knucklehead. There may be more to it than just missing a meeting.

I would hope no Dallas players would miss meetings, but I do not think a game suspension is warranted for doing so unless it became a common occurrence.

I am not suprised at all. For years Coughlin never had control of this team...actually from day 1 because of Tiki and Shockey.

Now he has this team where he wants it. He CANNOT, I repeat CANNOT have another distraction-player turning this team upside down.

It was the absolute right move. With that said. I dont think Plax gives a sheet. He has a ring, his money - he is what he is.

If you say so but he has been running hard in Seattle.

He is *creating* material to defend his point (even though it has nothing to do with JuJo) since his point doesn't have much substance. DaBoys4Life is known for doing it and debating with him is usually just a waste of words. I'm not sure why I even bother to respond sometimes.
