If you say so but he has been running hard in Seattle.

He wasn't doing it here and he had every opportunity to succeed so he can go on to be the next LT for all I care. He just wasn't cutting it in Dallas.

Plus Felix Jones can do more with less.

Give Felix 7 carries and give Julius 7 carries and see who produces better.

Bye Julius. Enjoy the rain.

If you recall in the '04 draft-JuJo was ranked LOW on the RB chart. It was b/c Parcells traded out of the first round that put us in this situation-by the time it came our turn to pick in the 2nd round, he was our only option(word had it that Tuna wanted to trade back into the 1st to nab Kevin Jones).

Nobody's crowning anyone, just saying that JJ wasn't very good to begin with.

Actually as brian broaddus tells it. The team liked jackson and kevin jones but they trusted maurice carthons opinion that julius jones had the same ability so they traded and then took Julius.

Its okay though because that trade allowed us to get spears and ware.

I don't know if you consider a 2nd round prospect Low on the radar. However I thought BP wanted Jackson and if he was there he would have taken him ???

It was also a RB rich draft-they were like 3-4 potential studs(Jackson, K. Jones, Henry, Bell, etc), and J. Jones was NOT one of them.

At the time, it looked like Denver was going to nab Jackson, but they passed over him and drafted another position, which was when it looked like he would fall into our laps...until Buffalo wanted JP Losman badly, so Tuna was able to get a trade with them(which nabbed their '05 1st rounder and '04 2nd rounder). I remember hearing the chorus of BOOS on tv from the Dallas section the minute it happened.

Jones' fumble/carry ratio at Notre Dame was outstanding. Considering that Parcells wants mistake-free football b/c his offensive philosophies lean heavily toward ball control, this pick wasn't surprising at the same time.

Didnt burress just write a book and in the book take shots at owens and say he would never want to play with him? I think the premise was that he had a chance to go to philly but he didnt want to play with owens because he wasnt a team oriented guy and was selfish.

How is that working out for ya plax?

yeah your missing the point though, it was maurice carthon who basically made the decision. He assured everyone jones had the same ability.

again, this is according to brian broaddus. Who was you know, in the room on draft day.

We will see Felix thus far hasn't shown us anything JJ has done for us or could do even the 61 yard run JJ had a 70 yard run against the saints. He was given the chance to start and produce he did rush for 1,000 yards for us and then following that we decided to cut his carries in half in for MB3.

IDK i double checked NFLdraftscout and they said he was the 5th ranked RB I don't recall him not being considered a stud but w.e. I'm still pissed we didn't take Jackson so that draft is a wash IMO.

Funny how they do this on their bye week ......

He still gets his pay docked for the bye week, based upon how salary is paid out, and he is still out one game. And one game is definitely going to be valuable in the NFC East.

Owens has to be peeved:
  1. that Plax has a ring
  2. so much so that he is on a REAL mission to FINALLY get one for him and the team
Has Owen ever taken shots at another WR/Diva in any of his books? (real question)

Mike Florio, on 106.7 radio in DC, was saying that it seems to be contract related. He actually broke the story before Fox did.

Florio seemed to imply that Burress feels he got shafted in signing the contract this year right before the Commanders game. After all is said and done, he is only about the 16 or 17 highest paid receiver in the league.

Felix is just far more talented and if that doesn't just jump out to you than I don't think it ever will.

Luckily for them(and bad for us) that their opponent is Seattle. The Hawks don't even have a WR(other than the great Billy McMullen), so Coughlin's game plan is easy-just play conservative, mistake free football on O, and on D, just stack 8 men in the box to stop JJ and blitz every down or so.

It's not like they're playing us or Green Bay.

That is silly. Don't sign if you don't like it. I felt the same way about TO when he signed in Philly and then a year later was complaining about the contract. If you don't think the contract is worth it then you are shafting yourself by signing it. It is not the team shafting you if you agree with it.

BTW, this team is nothing offensively without Plaxico Burress... If their offense stalls against Seattle, their suspending him will come back to bite them in the butt.. NYC is an unforgiving town...

I will agree with you for the most part. These WR's need to get all the info before the sign. ie. market value, even where they will rank after signing new deal.

Like TO, Plax should be making FAIR Market Value for his WR Play ability/results. Of course TO is much better but Plax gets it done for the most part.

TO and Plax had/have the same gripe. Fair market value at the very least.
