Byron Jones. We are misusing him

I was taunted for saying that Landon Collins was a better player originally. Slowly people are coming around and there are those who always thought that B jones was a bad pick.

He's an ok player, but not one that's going to be a difference maker

He was atrocious today. And watching SNF, Im having flashbacks of Aaron Rodgers to Jared Cook... I honestly don't believe he is a S. He takes terrible angles and is a poor tackler. We tried to fit a square peg into a round hole. I think we are misusing him. We ought to use his athleticism as a zone CB, not a S... We need two new S's IMO.

He's average at best. Not even worth the topic anymore...the sooner everyone realizes that he's nothing special, the better. He's a dime a dozen DB, will probably still have a long career in the NFL with a few teams but will never sniff the discussion of top safeties.

They were stupid for not even sniffing TJ Ward who got almost nothing in Tampa. he would've certainly upgraded Byron. Byron could go to CB for depth because it seems we are going to need it with the rookies legs falling off after running a 20 yard sprint 2x a game....

We only saw a very small sample of him at corner as a rookie. It wasn't great but he didn't get a lot of time to get better there. He's had ample time to suck at Safety....he is not a ball hawk, he takes horrible angles but he covered Gronk well the one game. Let him go cover the bigger guys....

Well this is year three so he is pretty much what he is going to be. An average NFL DB who doesnt make make plays and got drafted two or three rounds early. Moral to the story: Draft by what is on tape, not a combine workout. Freak athletes dont always turn into great football players.

Hey, he went to that football powerhouse: UCONN.

Does he have a good 3 point jumper at least?

I hate to lose a game on a personal level; it's a punch in the solar plexus. But what I hate worse is some fans reactions as if every game is going to be the same thereafter when history says it most likely won't. But it's the same for fans everywhere. Calling everyone out except the janitor. Doesn't matter what level or sport. Still a PITR.
