What does that have to do with a thread about Byron Jones? Who is the one trolling? Why don't you tell us what you think of our vaunted first round pick from mighty UCONN?

I'll post what I want without your input on what I should or shouldn't do. Conversational drift in threads is quite normal and as long as we're talking a post here and there isn't a problem.

You may consider worrying about yourself. My advice to you is to tread lightly telling other members what to do esp me. My last post and any further posts from you along this vein are unwelcome. You can take this to PMs but I'd drop it.

This goes for every member so you don't think this is entirely aimed at you. Consider this a public service announcement. Any members having problems with a post should report it don't engage other posters as if you are staff.

He was atrocious today. And watching SNF, Im having flashbacks of Aaron Rodgers to Jared Cook... I honestly don't believe he is a S. He takes terrible angles and is a poor tackler. We tried to fit a square peg into a round hole. I think we are misusing him. We ought to use his athleticism as a zone CB, not a S... We need two new S's IMO.

This is what happens when you draft work out warriors in the first round instead of actual football players. But hey, did you know he set the world record for broad jump:facepalm:

And for the record, this is not Monday morning "everybody sucks" after a loss post. Even in games we won last year, Byron sucked. I think any rational fan can look at the body of evidence and come to the conclusion that his play on the field is substantially below that of what you would expect from a first round pick.

And nobody should need a scoreboard to see that.

We could use him in the broad jump event running at halftime.

Boy that "three first round picks" stuff sure petered out quick. Jones looks like a bust, Gregory is a lost cause and Collins is still a question mark.

Byron Jones, Jaylon Smith, Taco Charlton

all garbage

id rather they just picked another 3 offensive linemen

Tap the brakes on your Jaylon assessment. Dude was great in college and he will be a good pro, at the least.

FWIW, I think Heath is a better safety. And that's not a high bar. At least I've seen Heath either make an interception or at least challenge the receiver for the ball.

Maybe Jones does a good job on stuff we we don't see on TV/coaches want him to be(i dunno), but he isn't a playmaker. Just some athletic guy who has yet to grasp the "speed" of the NFL.

Heath also WANTS to make that tackle.

Like most here, I don't like his anticipation and angles in the back half of the field.

Can he hold up at Strong Safety? His strength seems to be covering TE's and he can hit when his mind is in it. Heath seems to take better angles and has a better nose for the ball. He may do a better job over the top.

Since Day 1 I noticed his weakness - he's soft. I can't rock with those types of players. CZ masses are finally waking up. Anybody still want him over Collins?

I'm certainly wrong a lot and freely admit it. I had no idea who Collins was, so I'm not going To pretend I did. But from the moment Byron jones stepped on the field, I questioned that pick and the player. And I hate to be right on this one too. Darren Woodson defended jones and I questioned maybe I wasn't seeing something, but I think Woodson was just saying that to help motivate and boost the player.

man it is a source of comedy to read people saying in the middle of the year last how much better Byron was than Collins.

The more things change.......

Wasn't all that long ago that this board hated Church. He was a scrub that didn't belong in the league. Now people are missing the days of Church.

Arizona can't get here soon enough....

Byron is a corner not a safety. Most safeties can tackle, he can't. Most safeties can play the ball in the air, he cant.

No idea how you can say that when no one knows if he'll ever be healthy.
