Call your shot. Who's the next HC?

Yup, the writing is on the wall. They been courting each other since GB.

Yeah? And what did Tommy boy did after his 7th Superbowl?

Nothing!

That loser, even his wife prefered the personl trainer!
He won another Super Bowl in Tampa Bay, but like everyone, he got old. Bill hasn't won anything since. He left New England with a more depleted roster than they had when he arrived.
If you count Jimmy, I've seen him hire 8:

Johnson
Switzer
Gailey
Campo
Parcells
Phillips
Garrett
McCarthy

Only two of them were worth a crap, #1 and #5
I was around whenever Jimmy was hired but I didn't see it. I just know my dad quit in 1989 after Landry was unceremoniously dismissed.

I know, I was trying to make a joke, forget about it.

Thanks for saying that Catch. People say that all the time around here. They forget about his game plans that are completely different every week. How they can be a passing team one week, and a running team the next. 34 front, to the 43 the next. All in a weeks time depending on the opponent. Guy is a mad genius.

People either didn’t pay attention to those Patriots teams or they put too much stock into Brady going to a loaded team in Tampa.

Belichick is a genius. His attention to detail is unreal.

What did him in is he is terrible at drafting.

Belichick is an obsolete HC just like MM, apart from that for BB to succeed he needs an elite QB, and in Dallas he is not going to have one, the career that BB has is thanks to Brady. For me the ideal would be to start with fresh and new blood, and that is Ben Johnson OC of Detroit, do not expect Dallas to be a contender in 2025, so if you are going to start with a forced restructuring with new coaches and if Dallas selects RB Ashton Jeanty, and with a coach with an offensive mentality like Ben Johnson's, it could give him a new identity and explosiveness that he lost several years ago. For me the ideal candidate is Ben Johnson with whom he could get rid of the thorn that was left when he let Sean Payton go. and to help Ben Johnson gain experience as a HD, a consultant could be hired, who could be some HC like BB if no one hires him, Pete Carroll or Mike Vrabel, and this would attract all the attention that the aging Jones likes.

Belichick is reportedly interested in the Jacksonville coaching spot once it's available. He spends his time in Florida and goes fishing with Jimmy Johnson down there. Bill was the GM in NE, and is a guy who wants to pick his players. I would never see that working with Jerry. Once Brady left, Bill was toast. Dak is not Brady...
I could not blame him for preferring Trevor Lawrence. And I don't mean that as anything against Dak, but Lawrence is a former No. 1 pick and is still not that old.

Vrabel. I hope. But, he's already worked for 1 bad GM, i doubt if he wants to work for another. Also, Bill B. wasn't that great without Brady. Is he a good coach? Yes. But no savior.

Give me your next HC. Jerry has the masses pissed at him so does he go big, or does he go comfortable? This team needs an Alpha not a yes man.

If he gets this wrong it will set this thing back for the next 5 years.

Call your shot.
Does not matter,
If we don't get a new GM.

if it's not obvious by now, the current situation has made it abundantly clear that a Cowboys HC must work with an albatross hanging around his neck.

Nobody and nothing is going to change jerry's ways except the death. and even then, there's Stephen Jones.

After this stinker of a season, I can only see guys seeking money & title taking the HC job if McCarthy is fired.

So: Next Cowboys HC: Joe McNoSpine
