Should be Bill Bellichick if the GM in training was willing to "be comfortable" with a strong minded coach. I still remember the "walking on shells" quote of relief from the Jones' when Parcells retired. We haven't had a strong personalty since then and Jones has been more than happy with the often times mediocre results.
Well he needed the new stadium so maybe now he needs to replace the roof!

Zimmer. Saw it coming as soon as he was hired as DC. That's why Jerry was dragging his feet to even hire a DC, because he would also be the next HC in any event. Otherwise he would have just promoted some jag on the staff.

If I was betting on what Jerry will do it would be Bill
If I was making the decision it would be johnson
Well it’s Jerry and unless Ben has a personality like McVay you can forget it as they would eat him alive here

That’s what I’m about. I know he’s 72. But just give me 3 years and turn the franchise around like Big Bill did. A philosophy. By then Jerry will be in diapers…..

I’m gonna say he brings back big Mike only because it doesn’t make sense I can see him saying we were ravished by injuries. Perhaps they learn through back channels there no interest from belichick, vrabel, Deion, or Ben Johnson or they don’t want to pay those guys or etc

I'd retain Jerry as the owner, make Bill Belichick the GM, and select Lien Coen as the head coach.

It doesn't matter who it is. Jerry is going to continue to hamstring any coach with the culture and Jerry's incompetence as GM.

Whoever it is, Jerry will make him give Dave Campo a job again.

It will be Deion. Jerry is realizing the Cowboys are no longer America’s team and will be forced to make the splash hire of all splash hires. $$ will be the driving factor.

Kellen Moore :muttley:
Actually, that's who I was going to pick. I don't like it, but I could see it easily.

My pick would be Belichick because I think the Joneses need a coach like Parcells who they will lean on more to run the show instead of another puppet.

If the Joneses want to go with an up-and-comer, I'd pick Aaron Glenn.

KMoore makes sense.

He knows how to run an offense.

Belichick is reportedly interested in the Jacksonville coaching spot once it's available. He spends his time in Florida and goes fishing with Jimmy Johnson down there. Bill was the GM in NE, and is a guy who wants to pick his players. I would never see that working with Jerry. Once Brady left, Bill was toast. Dak is not Brady...

I think it just got stale in NE post Brady. But he has more knowledge about defense than any guy around. He’s made meh corners into great players. The same at LB. This team needs a leader and I can’t think of anyone they would look up to more than the guy that’s done it all.
Do you think winning got stale for Bill after Brady left?
