sorry - i'm old school and just don't live and die by every twitter tweet as if it's the full story.
i've got a guarded optimism about the move and want to know more before i start head banging.

It looked as if he was involved in the weekly game planning and then, during the game, based on what he was observing (particularly with the O-line play) he was giving Brian Schottenheimer a list of plays that might work as the game played out.
As he's giving the list in the video Schottenheimer doesn't seem to be paying much attention as he was marking down Callahans suggestions on his play sheet though, kind of funny.
Anyway i think that's the type of relationship/co-ordination we are likely to see between he and Garrett.

Callahan's West Coast roots and proven success and experience should give the Cowboys offense a positive infusion of West Coast principles and ideas to draw upon. Furthermore, Callahan is one of the best offensive line coaches in the NFL, and his rushing attacks have been among the best in the NFL.

Screen passes, and play action would be much stronger a threat with a short passing game involving West Coast tendencies. Even here, a strong running game keeps linebackers either on their heels, or taking false reads on passing plays.
Dallas could see safeties taking false reads and wide open receivers on those '30 yard slants' with both Laurent Robinson and Jason Witten filling in behind a healthy pair of Miles Austin and Dez Bryant. That pair single covered could lead to YAC as found in Philadelphia and in New York.
Now, if Tony Romo's Jersey remains clean during games, the whole climate escalates...
with a return of Robinson and two added to the Cowboy's offensive line interior.
