he took it to a bonehead levels one of those that feel like he doesnt need to follow ANY RULES.. NOT ONE EMPLOYER ALLOWS YOU TO BE INEBRIATED AT WORK, NOT EVEN ONE BEER OR SHOT.. the nfl lightening the rules is for tests that will allow some sort trace amounts of thc to be found but coming to work stoned is still a violation, they test NBA players before and after games randomly, if the THC levels are higher then allowable, they will get fined or suspended, its not the wild west , you abide by safe workplace rules or be a waste of space at home..While I do not agree with Irving about marijuana, I do agree the NFL is hypocritical when it comes to drugs, and punishments. With some states legalizing the drug, the NFL had no choice but to let up on their stance on the use of pot in football. But Irving is a talented guy. He possesses talent not many people have. It's his choice what to do with his life but when you don't use the god given talent you have it's called sloth. He should not have given up football for pot.
if you get injured on any job, they make you immediately go take a piss test and if theres any drugs or alcohol in your test, you wont be covered by insurance not even the TWC, its violation by any employer but in sports environment where you can hurt people or get hurt , its even more important to be safe..
