Calling David Irving

 Why????? What does Goodell/league gain by forcing Randy to sit out? I'll tell you what, ask Randy how long he's been sober? If he can pass a weed test today?

Same "what did he have to gain " with Goodell suspending Zeke Elliott even after getting a no evidence feedback review
from his own investigative team. So long as he has the executive powers to decide if a player plays ..or not. that's still
an self -ego move. That's his feel-strong. Who knows when he feels the need to exert that feel strong as such.

That's why i considered Zeke extremely lucky Goodell executive action wasn't taken against him
when he had the drunk -shove incident. Don't place yourself in an avoidable position where executive action can work against you.

And how do we know someone from the league hasn't already inquired ask Randy that sober-weed question,
or ask for the latest random resting results from Randy ? You think he'd chance getting blazed while seeking on the brink of
seeking reinstatement status ?
You think he would not be pushing and pressing so hard for reinstatement if he were going thru the the blaze period while still
dealing with his well documented medical bi-polar anxient?

Funny, I actually saw him the other day at a Home Depot, he's still around D/FW and would probably be easy to find if they were interested.

When Irving played, he was a beast..

Irving played according to his motivation.

You may get a few games where he's playing with his hair on fire such
as a period where he had 7 sacks in 7 games during the same season i think he was suspended and battled a questionable concussion at season's end. Mystery surrounded how he sustained that concussion (car accident? ) and why head injury wasn't reported to Cowboys staff.

And then there were games where " Dino" was absence. Didn't show and make his presence felt with no
reported injury. Games where you could tell he was in cruise control. And that's despite militant like driven Marinelli
was always one to stand on player head about motor-drive and effort.

And from researching back, he wasn't just " facing" suspension, ..he was actually suspended indefinitely by the NFL in March 2019.

..Irving is a defense version of Randall. Just needs some new cologne.

Get yourself motivated, into football shape, get yourself paid, then donate every cent to world hunger and poverty and you'll save many more lives that way rather than trying to convince everyone that smoking weed is some miracle cure for this and that.

What a fraud.
Agreed. Love the fake narrative of "I left NFL to change more lives" when both the exposure and salary of playing in the NFL gives him a platform to actually make real change

I am gonna get slammed for this. But if he decides he wanted to play football and go after a ring, I wonder if he is in shape and if MM and JJ would be interested in taking a look. I know a lot of you don’t like what he did. And I don’t care for the way he treated the whole situation.

That being said he would be a beast at McCoy’s position. But wasn’t he indefinitely suspended or suspended for 1 year, would he have time to ask for reinstatement. I don’t think that we will even consider him but man what a time it would be to have him playing.

Now with the rule change he would simply pay a fine..
I want nothing to do with him. People complain about Gregory and this dude is 10 times worse

I'm really surprised we ended up with neither out of Gregory and Irving.

Hopefully dont need them, but still
I thought we would have Gregory and the choice if we wanted Irving. I think goodell is playing around..

Quick .......Randy is an addict. I hate sounding so blunt but it's the truth. He has NO control over his use of weed. IF he did, none of this would even be an issue coz he would still in the league. I've posted my view regarding this in a few other threads but make it simple, the fact Randy is pleading his case via social media w/o any support ( we know ) speaks volumes IMO.

There's your issue. Not convinced he ever truly wanted it.
I suspect that’s right
And it’s a shame because he has elite talent
But he doesn’t love the game enough to do what is needed for him to play

Glimmer--- I know this subject may not be popular and i understand why...but if he has the interest that it takes to play in NFL i would be calling him today....pro bowl 3-techs dont grow on trees and Irving was a beast..i heard a while
back he wanted to play again and even contacted cowboys but that was on Garrett regime so ..no way jose....but we have different regime and maybe outlook might be different?

Is it still not abundantly clear that Irving doesn't care?

stash---he tried to contact cowboys during Garrett regime to get back into football and Garrett said no way....man he is a beast at 3-tech...he had 8 sacks in 7 games 2017....i hope they give him a call...just kick the tires if nothing else?

I am hoping maybe he will call again and talk to MM. Or maybe call the FO, SJ or JJ. If he is truly interested. If not and is gonna be problem then forget it. Everybody is doing very well and getting along and I don’t want a problem brewing in the locker room. But heard that he was never locker room problem. Would actually get weed for the players. Lol.

With the injury to McCoy I actually wonder if McClay hasn’t thought of calling him or talked to MM about him.

If that were true, there were 31 other teams he could have called. But clearly he didn’t.

David Irving doesn’t care enough to play football.

We know he has an addiction, And we also should know what has contributed and lead to that addiction.
And what existing medical problems make that much more of a relenting challenge for Randy, and one that he
will always have to battle with his very life..period.. to stay afloat.

i've seen many similar posts and threads such as yours and as you described several times over.
But your and other posts and views seems to make no mention of his bi-polar medical issues.
Why ? Who knows ... Do you guys see that as irrelevant ? ..An excuse ? Not buying into it as a reason that he uses it to
cope with his addiction? That's up to you guys.

Just as you have your views and thoughts regarding the addiction, i have mine as well.
Many upon many are only going to see it as they see, have seen or hear of the use for recreational marijuana -and the people who choose to smoke marijuana. Whoever uses it, is seen as strictly using it as a party tool because they want to party. No other.

There are those that will continue to determined to make/keep Randy in the image and label as into a careless, irresponsible
party animal. And no other. Despite the documented fact that Gregory already been long described by medical profession
of having had a well documented medical bi polar disorder condition.

He is one of the first ones off the street I would consider in terms of talent.

But you would think he would be making a lot more noise right now with starters opting out and then getting injured.

The desire to play is important. If he his not making noise now, I don't see a reason to expect much to change with him.
