Yup. He was riding the pine and was almost released but Parcells said he saw something in him in practice.

So let's recap:

Cowboys fans are bashing our qb who is STARTING in his 2nd season WHIL LEARNING his 6th offense in 6 years

Our defense was one of the worst in NFL history yet they bring up the fact that our defense helped Campbell out.

Finally, they say that our RB and o-line did very good and thats what made Campbell look good. Am I missing something or did Marion Barber lead the NFC in TD's? Yah he did, so don't give us that running game garbage, yours was just as strong. And your defense was better by a mile than ours so don't give us that either.

So until Jason Campbell is in his fourth year how about you lay off of the kid until then. Because if Romo actually played in his 2nd year, I can assure you, he would be nowhere near as good as he is now.

K Thanx.

Go back and read my posts please.

I said OUR defense was hurting Romo.

I also gave comparisons between your running game and ours in the past 5 games.

Betts blew out MBIII and JJ in yardage so yes that is a huge help.

Like I said before... have fun WATCHING the playoffs Campbell.

Dallas has won 3 titles since the Commanders last won one :lmao:

All you have to do is watch the games. Romo has "it". Campbell doesnt. It's easy to see, just not easy to admit.

Jason Campbell is Quincy Carter v2.0

read my post and then respond to us 2 skins fans intelligently. please. just one time. It'll do you some good.

Like I said before............yards do not equal points. Betts only had 3 TD's in his 7 games starting. Portis had 7 in 6. You do the math.

Barber led the NFC in TD's, so as far as I'm concerned you can say Betts had all the yards he wanted (which he did since our #2 back outgained your #1 back) but he didnt score. He did help us move the ball, but most of the scores were thrown by Campbell not run by Betts.

The Commanders won a road playoff game 2 seasons ago. Dallas won its last playoff game 11 seasons ago. Dallas has 5 SB's, Washington has 3. Theirs your history. The past decage both teams have laid an egg except atleast Commanders fans have enjoyed playoff success where as you guys ughh :lmao2:

but anyways, Campbell in his 2nd season = starting. Romo in his 2nd season = riding the pine behind Testaverde and Henson.

I don't see why we'd expect Campbell and Romo to put up similar numbers. Romo has a two-year head start in terms of experience and was groomed from training camp on to take the job this year if need be. All those pre-season snaps served him quite well. Campbell is a better physical specimen and is working behind a far superior O-line, but less than a full compliment at receiver (thanks to super-bust Lloyd). Both teams have good reason to be encouraged, but since this is Dallas-Washington, it has to degenerate into a "my dad is stronger than your dad" pissing match.

Well, I wouldn't call that playoff game last season a success. Maybe a win, but that must have been embarassing from a Skins fan standpoint.

So come back in two years -- if Campbell has posted a 95.1 passer rating for a season and/or made the Pro Bowl. Then you can compare him to Romo, who did both of those at age 26, in his first season playing.

The irony contained within this post is almost too much for my mind to handle. You claim Jason Campbell is a franchise QB, then question MY intelligence regarding football. :laugh2:

I'll say it again: Romo has that special something that the great one's have. Jason Campbell is what Vince Young would be if Young wasnt an amazing playmaker in the running department. He isnt accurate, which is no unusual for QBs with great arm strength, but that's the thing, Campbell's arm ISNT all that strong. He is just an all-around average passer who had the pleasure of having the two best RBs in the nation and the best line in the nation to make him look good at Auburn. Team's played Auburn with 8 in the box all game, every game. I could win the SEC player of the year if you gave me one on one coverage with only one safety back every single play.

When was winning a playoff game in hostile environment embaressing? Our defense destroyed everything the Bucs had and put up a great fight against Seattle until Carlos Rogers had to drop the game sealing interception only to watch Matt Hassleback drive the ball down our throat.

Let me bottom line it for you. Archive the threads about Romo before the season started. Romo was trash, an undrafted nobody from a Div II school

Campbell was a first round pick, key player on a national championship and the future of the Commanders.

Now fast forward until now and who has outperformed who? That is right the undrafted one.

Now the you ESers have changed your tune. Romo had this advantage and that advantage. Whatever. You guys all said he was garbage and here he is out performing your dude. Campbell may or may not be the real deal long term just as Romo may or may not but for now Romo IS BETTER than your guy.

:lmao2: Yes he does have something special the great ones have. A QB rating of 77 in December, 6-8 TD/INT ratio with a total of 9 fumbles.

and the great ones couldn't beat Quincy Carter, Vinny Testaverde and Drew Bledsoe for a starting job up until their 4rth season:lmao:

I'm not sure why this is even an arguement. Romo has been asked to carry this team at times. Campbell has been asked to be a bus-driver. I lived in the DC area for six years, so I still get a kick out of reading the Washington Post during the times that the Commanders are playing crappy (Like Now!). After watching the Commanders games and reading the Post, it is obvious that the kid has talent, but he is simply not being asked to do what Romo has been asked to do.

People tend to forget that, despite Romo's recent flaws, he was asked to save the Cowboys season. That's a lot of pressure for a first time starter. Campbell was put in when the Commanders were pretty much done to be groomed for next year.

I still think that the Saints, Eagles and Detroit games were alot about Romo feeling pressure to win the game with his arm. I believe the run/pass ratio supports that. If they can get a better balance again, the Romo that everyone was so hyped about will return. (Just my opinion).

Balance can only be achieved if Parcells takes the blinders off JJ or let MBIII start and carry it 25 times.

Who's everyone? I didnt say Romo ever sucked and my brother Dccowboys#1 knew that he was going to be a star and I believed him. Dont put words in my mouth.

As for Campbell I posted everything I needed to about him and you still think he is a bust. I posted TD to int comparisons with other first rd picks such as Matt Leinhart and Vince Young and how JC had a better td to int ratio than them, I posted why he put us in position to win games, and how our defense kept losing them for us, but YOU STILL CANT GET IT THROUGH YOUR HEAD THAT HE IS A SKIN and will always accept the fact that he is a bust.

Matt Leinhart didnt do to hot this year either. Had a worse record than we did and he started all year. And he had the best wr combo in the league to work with and an all star back in James. Does that mean he is a bust too?

I'd love to hear how this one pans out and how Campbell is still worse than a top 10 draft pick who struggled as a rookie as well.

The history since Dallas came into being:

FATHER Dallas:

19 Division Titles
10 Conference Titles
8 Super Bowl appearences
5 Super Bowl Titles

Washington:

9 Division Titles
5 Conference Titles
5 Super Bowl Appearences
3 Super Bowl Titles*

*Only 2 of said SB titles count, as titles in strike seasons are laughable

Damn it must suck to be a Commanders fan :lmao2:

Number are the only way to prove something when you have two sides saying A is better than B when it comes between 2 rival teams.

They areNT gonna go for the Romo has "IT" arguement and what not.

How else do you compare two people if intangibles arent getting through people's heads?
