Can the last remaining Dez fans at least accept who he really is?

If you really believe that why not go find a team more to your liking. Perhaps Dez will get a job in a year or two in Toronto or Edmonton and you can follow his new team!
Please...the old “if you don’t like it you can leave” crap...

Agreed. There are vast opinions about where we are right now. They seem to vary mostly around the middle of the pack. But some extremes on both ends. I'm more optimistic than most but realize that anything can happen.

Those guys take almost EVERYTHING personally and almost always drag it that direction. They want to drown out an opinion that they don't like.

I'm standing up against that because it's wrong, it deters people from posting and diversity of ideas and rational discussion is healthy. Yeah. I'm posting stuff I know they don't like and standing my ground because it is legitimate discussion. They can get over it or avoid the thread.

They knew what they were going to discuss when they came here and they came here anyway. They won't put me on ignore because they can't stand the thought of me Dez bashing and then not being able to refute it.

Whatever. They need to quite frankly grow up. They are sure to show up anytime I say anything about Dez. They do it to other posters too. It's rediculous. But it is super fun for me.
Well said !!

Don’t let the internet bully’s deter you.

Personally , I think Dez is what I always thought he was. Nothing that’s happened in recent years has changed my opinion. I bashed him from the beginning while recognizing his assets to our passing game.

LOL yeah he learned a lesson and will be good now.

You know you may be on to something here. I'm sure a good sterned "talking to" would totally fix Dez and his route running.

Perhaps we could ban Dez from eating all that buttery popcorn before games. That would probably solve all the drops too.

I guess we could also put Dez's hands in casts so he couldn't tweet. Man we may be on to something. One thing we know about Dez, he would be a very CHEAP, DISPOSABLE acquisition.

No. Come to think think of, let's let him find another team. You know. One that will give him the pay increase we were promised Dez would get. Lol

It was pretty apparent even when he signed his contract he was a risk emotionally. I was against the signing for that level of pay.

Dez was never a top 5 receiver because he was never a complete receiver. Ever.

Thank you. Well stated. Don't worry. I won't let them deter me. Lol.

I am buying extra corn at Atwood's right now, just in case they need to be fed. They are vicious, but they have been around long enough I sort of view them endearingly, a bit like a pet. I don't know what I would do if they weren't around! Bless their little misguided hearts! Lol

Incorrect...I am blind so when I drive up to the ATM and they don’t have the keys in Braille I usually have to drive to the next bank and hope they have the courtesy to put the keys in Braille in the drive through lanes.

Well that's not good. Hopefully they will straighten that out! I think all banks are required to have ATMs in Braille. Maybe you should lodge a complain at the bank.

You must be an expert at typing blind to be able to hang here. That's a pretty impressive skill set.

You’re right but he was an asset with Romo. Just because we over paid Dez doesn’t mean he wasn’t an asset or talent.

That's correct. But a team must use a cost/benefit analysis on every player and the formula eventually was his undoing.

But that wasn’t all his fault initially . Jerry and the Cowboys placed him on that pedestal.

In the end yes, Dez should have renogiated and was his undoing.

Yeah. I think Jerry's hype machine makes him money but it also creates monsters. I love Witten as much as anyone and he was one of my favorite Cowboys of all time but he was here several years too long.

We relented and gave Dez the money he wanted and that was a serious mistake. We should have stood our ground and gave him a fair contract with escalators/incentives. It would have been better for all parties involved.

And some people are actually objective.

So may i ask you a question, just to learn from you:

Please define what objective means from your perspective and then give one or two examples for your definition.

Yep but Jerry panicked and caved after letting Murray walk and didn’t want to go into season without Dez too.

As it turned out with Romo getting hurt we could have let Dez sit out all year and wouldn’t have mattered.

And it’s not all Dez fault that we no longer had a QB who could optimize Dez skill level.

Yeah. I agree with that to an extent. She should have kept Romo as a starter when he came back. Romo was more accurate than Dak. That's a given.

On the other hand, I don't think Dez' decline was all Romo. I think it was the contract. Dez hasn't done anything significant since he got paid.

If teams felt Dez decline was solely due to Romo he would have been all snatched up a long time prior to now. Dez isn't a malcontented Randy Moss. Dez is a malcontented mental midget water boy at this point. At least that's what it looks like.

You are preaching to the choir, my brother. We should have let Dez walk.

Or forced him to take less. After 2014 he certainly looked like he had some value.

Yeah. That would have been my preference T the time, but I think Dez would have refused to sign and then opened up a whole new can of worms. I wanted to see him signed with about a #10 receiver type of contract. He got a top 3 level contract and there was almost no chance of Dez performing up to that level of a contract. B

Dez didn’t ever have Romo again after signing his contract. He had injuries and Dak.

As I said earlier Dez is who he always was.

Dez will eventually get it and play for less somewhere else or he’ll be at home. But I’d bet with the right QB and situation he can still be a threat if he can be humbled.
