Can we all agree QB play Makes WRS

Can we all agree a WR shouldn't be taking up 10% of your cap space?
Especially one that has become inconsistent catching the ball. It would be tolerable if he was making incredible catches that took you to the post season

It's called scheme and having a coaching staff that makes adjustments. We have one of the slowest adjusting offenses in the league. Foles was throwing to open receivers all night.

Foles throwing to diverged WRs and in between the players in small holes. first TD pass to Jeffery’s when Newman bit on he dig, he didn’t bail in the pocket, stood tall with defenders breathing down his neck and threw a beauty.

And they schemed well too getting the ball out of his hands quickly to put pressure on the DBs.

It’s like using Dak’s passing numbers to Witten in a Denver game when they were getting blow-out..

I don't respond to trolls who copy/paste box scores and don't use any logical deduction.

Ain't nobody got time fo' dat.

You responded though originally and then had to keep quiet.. you seem to forget you copied the numbers wrong first of all and you clearly weren’t showing any logical deduction when you used the points in SEC games that didn’t take into account who even scored, like special team players and when Dak padded his stats in blowouts by half-time..

Actually Dak is supppse to anticipate, because it’s a timing based offense. And his best percentages are digs and slants.

And TWill go routes numbers dropped with Dak too even in 2016, meaning Dak could never make those throws which are a staple of this offense.
Ok bud, we're done. As soon as you post "could never make the throws" I lost ya. Have a good one!

Dak’s numbers on go routes in 2016 for both TWill and Dak were in the thirty percentile. In Romo’s last full season, in the second least amount of passing attempts of any offense, both of them were too 3 WRs in go routes and this is TWill as a second WR.

Dak sucks outside the hashes and against the sidelines.

This past season, yes. But not every season. Without using the injury excuse, other WRs/TEs out produced him. With the same QBs.
He's simply not mentally sound and gets taken out of the game.
Show me which TE or WR out produced him with the same QB, genius. I'll wait.

You had to start another thread.... Lovely.

To answer your question... WRs make WRs. Be an accountable leader or go play elsewhere. Bye Dez.

To be precise: Great QBs make good WRs; great schemes make good QBs; and, WRs make WRs.

Got a link to your statistics?

It's maddening that these morons are going to waste years trying to work around a marginal QB like Prescott rather than simply upgrading the position. It's as if we're married to the guy and we have to make it work.

Meanwhile Philly's got a stud, the Giants are about to get their own and maybe even the Commanders. If you think things are bad now it could be much worse in a couple of years.

But let's search for some scheme that allows a QB who can't throw and can't see the field to flourish.

It would be funny if it wasn't so sad.

Agree. Makes you wonder why you need to have a WR soaking up $16.5 million in cap space when a QB can make a Laurent Robinson look good and an elite WR like Dez can look like crap with Dak. The QB matters, not the receiver. Why do we want to keep Dez?
I agree makes no sense to pay a receiver that amount of money with mediocre to poor quarterback play

There are a ton of things players have done so Dez isn't going to be unique. The question is should some of the things he does be acceptable. Things like:

  • Arguing with Josh Norman instead of preventing a pick 6.
  • Loafing on a 3rd down instead of blocking for a scrambling QB trying to pick up the 1st down
  • Pouting on the bench needing players coming over to get his head back in the game.
  • Getting frustrated by not getting the ball when the team is winning the game.
Those are things I can't stand to see. At such a high cap hit and as emotional as Dez is, I would like for him to use that emotion to positively impact the team, not negatively impact it. Would be nice for him to have become a leader as he became a veteran.

QB play helps make the receiver, but it doesn't alone make the receiver. Otherwise Antonio Brown wouldn't be any better than any of the other Steeler receivers.

Genius? If they're on the same team, obviously they have the same QB.

2016 Beasley.
2015 Beasley, Witten and Williams.
2011 Witten.
2010 Witten and Austin.
