I wonder how many Cowboy games John Lynch has actually watched this season. Otherwise it's just bloviating balderdash. I don't recall too many times that Emmitt did not get caught from behind. Speed was not his forte. I find it laughable after watching Emmitt over 5 championship caliber seasons, run and catch the ball without any hint of this dialogue the currently passes for insightful or enlightened commentary...and all because someone came up with the "curse of 370".

it wouldn't matter how many he's watched. I've just never heard of murray "slowing down" until recently, now many are jumping on that bandwagon as if it's true.

U see the one play in ten that that occurs. I'm talking about all the times he doesn't get touched until 5-10 yards past the los. I'm not gonna argue about it. Its just my opinion.

So to sum this up. This player has brought a running game, along with the offensive line, which protects the defense and allows Romo to throw less and risk lesws. The results is 12-4, and in your opinion you can reproduce that with unknown players who have never shown as yet they can weather the play-after-play rigors of being a featured back.

Your position is this season can be rep0licated with randall and some draft choice, or Randall and Dunbar and a draft choice. Shed the guy who made this work and dive into the unknown, and perhaps be less effective next season because you think this is all about the 5-10 yards past the line of scrimmage. When the majority of plays are him making contact just past the hole, if not in the hole, and pushing the pile forward.

Yes, I see your point now.

My agreeing with you all the time is getting absurd. Say something zany, please. I feel out of sorts now.

He looked like he was laboring somewhat on the record breaker. Not too too bad.. but he wasn't exploding

His legs definitely looked heavy on that one. If things go well on Sunday, would love for Randle to get a fee chances

First off congratulations on a fabulous year! To set the records he did for a franchise as rich in running backs as the cowboys is quite a feat.
Now this: I can't be the only one that noticed how sluggish he looked when he broke in the open field yesterday.
Tired legs? Toll of all the touches from this yr?
Anything left in the tank for the playoffs?

I brought this up in a post I started a couple weeks back, that he appeared slow,
He has been caught most everytime he breaks free into the secondary.

Hill and Bell were both 2nd round picks.
No not just any RB can do what Murray did. Sure Bell or Hill could but what about bishop Sankey oor the other rookie RBs this year. I agree you can find good RBs to replace Murray and I'm all for it but not just anyone can do it. Sankey was a 2nd round pick and was terrible this year

Didn't say "any" rb. I specifically used those two and I'm sure I could find more without too much trouble. The issue being so many acting like our run game being the result of the "amazing" job of Demarco when in fact it was the "amazing" job of our oline that many rb's inthe league could've done just as well if not better. How many times did he look for contact at the end of his run instead of trying to hit the open area for five more yards or even bust loose. A nd the thing I hate most, how many times did he run out of gas and unable to finish what should have gone to the house. People want to discount Randle but he's hit creases and housed runs where Demarco would have run 15 yards and looked up the safety.

No..... not at all. Just don't act like he's the 2nd coming of Adrian Peterson. He's not. He is a good back but if wants too much then move on. Remember, this is the first year he has stayed healthy. Contract year...... hmmmmm. P.S. many of the times hegot stuffed in the hole, it was Martin or TFred pushing the pile forward.

What else is he going to say? He has over 400 touches this season... Bye week wouldve done wonders for him IMO

and went over 100 yards in last game on 20 carries, He will get about 6 months after the season. Dallas had things going they were not going to change that I don't blame them, last time we went 13-3 and rested players they came out sloppy and Garrett was not going to have a repeat of that. I think Murray and this team is ready to go out and get the job done

I agree but what I'm saying there a nfl running backs that can't do what Murray did. This was bells break out year. He didn't have a great year his rookie year.

Sure you can find guys that are just as good but you can also miss out on guys. So say we let Murray go and then the RBs in the draft that they like go before we pick each round. Then what? Then who ya got?

The OL helps but Murray plays a big part.

I agree and I think in the end Jerry gets deals done with both Dez and Murray. I expect Dallas to free up some cash off of Carr, Tyron and likely Romo. I just don't see Dallas or Jerry letting this core group get away.

True but just don't break the bank to keep him.

If you the worrying type, these stats will make you worry about Murray:

Average Yards Per Carry by Month (Demarco Murray)

5.4 -> September
4.9 -> October
4.5 -> November
4.0 -> December

yet December total point wise for the offense is they are avg over 40 points. Teams have slowed Murray down the put a big focus on him and in the end it has cost them as it has opened up the passing game.

I agree with this statement for the most part. I think the offense has continued to grow and the passing game has really come alive. I also think it's probably be naive not to think that the 400+ touches haven't affect Murray in some way.

I'm sure 16 games has a lot of guys feeling it right now but again even with a stacked line and broken hand Murray in his last game rushed for 100 yards on 20 carries which is 5 yards a carry. I think the game before with Murray playing 6 days after surgery hurt but I have no doubts Murray is set and ready to go for the playoffs
