One main thing to keep in mind. as we get the ... this guy is a jag ... he sucks ... this guy is great ... he will make the team ....
There are always a few stand out players. Looks great against back ups but does not do as well against starters.
However there are also many players that are called Scrubs, or JAGS.
Remember when out there with other 2nd and 3rd and 4th string players. If those players do not do their jibs, then every player sucks.
But, if you put that same player between the starters and if all pros, then they can be and look much better.
Because that players rookie mistakes are covered up by the starters most of the time.
Sure Grier looked bad at times, but with players that won't be there. Let him play with the starters and see what he can do ... oh, wait ..bad example....
So don't be so hasty to judge some of these players (good and bad). Yeah, I know, no one will take that advice.
