What a great win last night. I loved every second of it. With that being said. Can we discuss how Collinsworth gets away with blatantly disrespecting the Cowboys every time he comments on their games?

If I have to hear about the OBJ catch one more time I may lose my mind. It was years ago and they lost that game. With that said all he kept saying pre game and during the game is how good the Giants were. At one point he said the Giants added a bunch of new weapons for Daniel Jones and that they would be the fastest team on the field. Maybe I am overreacting but its been years of this and I am honestly at the point where I may watch the games on mute when he is in the booth.

My Favorite Collingsworth screw up was when during a game, he “made up“ that our Qb had just recently bought his mother a new house in the off-season……the problem with his attempt at pandering was that #4s Mom had passed away 6 years previous. (God rest her soul)

For a good while Al Micheals was the analyst Pied Piper among NFL viewers; but as the years went along, he became too rigid and unyielding in his analysis over the last few years on NBC SNF for me.

Despite all that, he also brought comedy. This is what he said mere seconds before Armstrong ran past Evan Neal to crush Jones.

Guy is so up and down, you don't do anything great all game long, soon as you do, you need to get him a set of PADS because he won't stop raving about you!! lol

Aikman and others do the same thing. It is part of the way it is done. They have assistants handing them facts about the player as soon as he makes

Jumping on the bandwagon is great but that is his modus operandi. He has no other choice. He is rarely perspicacious when it involves dallas. Why is that???

Just disagree with you on this…he said before the game started the giants were trying t9 close the gap with us. Which means we were on a different tier from them.

Collinsworth was very effusive about the Cowboys last night. He was drooling all over the defense, for example. Some of you guys really live in this Cowboys bubble. I thought Collinsworth did a really nice job last night. He can't kiss the butt of the Cowboys the entire game. He's gotta say some good things about the opponent too.

Oh and his comment about fastest team, he said the Giants THOUGHT they would be the fastest team on the field. That their offseason goal was to get faster.

yes and I think most thought the giants would be better than what they were sun nite.
It is his job to build up the underdog so that people think it will be a close game.

that being said ,I quit early in the 3rd, it was too one sided. I wonder if the neilsen viewers tuned out too.
This was a dud for the first Sun nite game lol. Maybe if ratings are low, they dont have dallas playing giants in first game
anymore for a few years.

It seems like announcers panic when games are blowouts and are so afraid that the audience is going to change the channel that they just ramble on and on - its like verbal diarrhea, lol. If its a close good game, the game sells itself, they really don't need to do much. But when its one-sided they all seem to just babble on endlessly thinking they have to be the entertainers.

He fails to recognize that defensive interference could have been called by obj but the one handed gave the refs the chance to hype the result

We all view and interpret things in a very self-centered perspective, no offense intended.

Collinsworth and his fellow broadcaster have to please the following:
-Their network bosses
-The league and it's financial partners (advertisers, etc)
-A national audience
-Themselves

They must do all this on the fly, while staying coherent with each sentence. Games like Sunday night test the hell out of broadcaster as they know the #1 priority is to try to keep millions from turning off the channel.

Shouldn't be hard to understand.

I would be shocked at this point if OBJ and Collinsworth are not secret lovers. Cris is infatuated with him and OBJ. But yes his bias against the Cowboys made last night even sweeter.
