round
1-1 pick
2-1 pick
3-2 picks
4-2 picks
5-3 picks (1 comp?)
6-3 picks (1 comp)
7-1 pick
Now that would be some ammo for a great draft.

CATCH17;2685936 said:We'd have to have a receiver and other than Crabtree I don't see any receiver that has the potential that Roy Williams has.
Jeremy Maclin? Nope Sorry.
We wouldn't have had to give Detroit nearly as much either if we would have gave them Miles Austin (who they wanted) but instead we decided to keep Austin and just give up a 3rd.
It was reported they viewed Austin as a 2nd round choice.

Now we still have Roy and the draft picks. Happy now?
CATCH17;2685945 said:If he would have hit the open market we may have gotten into a bidding war that we couldn't compete in with Demarcus Wares contract looming.
Vikings, Eagles, Colts, Titans, and im sure more teams that I can't think of off the top of my head would have been very happy to over pay Roy Williams.
I don't have a problem for overpaying for him either because Jerry tried anything he could to push this team over the top and get us in the Superbowl. He did his part with the pieces that were on the field but our players did way to many bonehead things.

BraveHeartFan;2685947 said:It would have been exactly the draft we have now except you'd trade Williams for the 20th pick that you'd likely have to use on a WR and there isn't a WR in this draft, at the 20th pick, that is as good as Roy Williams.
Even Crabtree and Maclin would be guys you don't know if they'll be good or busts. Roy Williams is a young, proven, veteran WR. He's the best 20th pick you could have had this year.
dannyboy;2685951 said:plus the fact that Detriot might have put the franchise tag on him and the price might have been higher, especially with other teams in the mix
DaBoys4Life;2685966 said:And we wouldn't have owens and our #1 WR would be Miles austin...this thread should be locked.
CATCH17;2685954 said:And why wouldn't Detroit Franchise Roy Williams and just put him on the trading block like the Pats did with Cassell?
Apollo Creed;2685974 said:Were we the only team in the market for Roy?
HomeOfLegends;2685969 said:It's only speculation but I think if we did not trade for Williams we would still have the #20 and Owens would still be a Cowboy.

HomeOfLegends;2685981 said:I doubt it, Jerry just has had such a hard on for Williams from the time he entered the draft that he was the only one willing to give up a first round pick. I have heard numerous times other teams were offering 2nd round picks and/or a combination of picks.
