Can you imagine our draft w/out the RW trade?

Roy Williams is has often been described as unproductive, but his per game #s pretty much mirror recently inducted HOFer Art Monk.

Thats not saying a damn thing.

No you didn't get it. My point wasn't that we would have more picks. That's a given. My pt is that I love prepping for the draft. Reading draft mags and doing mock drafts. Watching what vids I can on the net and reading the "experts" opinions.

It's one of my favorite things in all of sports - the NFL draft. It just takes a little of the fun out of it for me when we don't have a first and that extra 3rd and 6th to play with.

As far as the trade I actually like it. I'm a big fan of Roy and a UT fan. I actually have a Roy #4 UT jersey! I'm thrilled to have him on the team and don't think outside of MAYBE Crabtree we couldn't get anyone of RW's talent at #20.

Got it.

I take it back. Thought you were one of those pot stirrer's.

I look forwarded to your expertise.... maybe ;)

What concerns me is the statement Jerry Jones made last offseason. He said that "WR was not a concern of the Dallas Cowboys".

1/4 of the season done and Jerry decides to make a blockbuster trade for Roy. This was a desperation move. I don't think the move had anything to do with TO. I think Jerry envisioned a team where both guys co-existed. I don't think this was a move for the future as much as it was embarrasing for Jerry to go from super bowl favorite to struggling to make the playoffs. All it really did was make us even more predictable because our roster was filled with WR's who all do the same thing.

The Roy Williams trade works out if he posts these types of numbers:
80+ catches, 1,100+yards and 12+ TD's. And a good cup of S/T/F/U!

Of course this is me being biased cause I have to hate Desean Jackson for being an Eagle.

Oh, Jerry flat-out admitted it, even if it was implicit. He said it would take pressure off of TO and the double-teams he was getting. It was a shot at the Super Bowl, but failed miserably. Ironically, the addition didn't change a damn thing in how teams defended the Cowboys offense. I don't know how Jerry can even justify the release of TO, when Garrett is still around.
