Well, technically we've got the depth to fill his spot, but I do think last season showed that the defensive coaches weren't satisfied with Gallimore and Bohanna, so I do think we'll draft a DT somewhere between the fourth and seventh rounds.

I like Keeanu Benton for DT, but I would prefer Gervon Dexter Sr if he's there late in the 2nd round.

Hmmm… they traded the 13th overall pick for him. He’s put up 9.5, 7, and 8 sacks since. They have 20m in cap space. It’s a forgone conclusion they’re taking a QB with #4 pick. Guessing they’re hoping the defense keeps it close enough, it doesn’t force them to become one dimensional and opposing defenses get the opportunity to pin their ears and tee off… so a mini fortune. There’s just no incentive for them to do so short of 26 and next years first!

No idea. But it seems like they’ve figured out the trade market. The D would go from good to special with a DT like that.

Which is long needed. I want us to get the best possible NT this draft. We need a NT, and I'd love Dexter, Ika, Benton, or Smith. I'd also like Clark or Broderic.

Not really. NT Hankins and 3-tech Odighizuwa are the starters and Golston and Gallimore are contributors. We also have Bohanna as the backup NT, but don't think we're too thrilled about that, so we'll take another NT stab late in the draft.

The defense yards per carry given up was about the same with Bohanna or Hankins in the lineup. Bohanna just missed a lot of time due to injury.

Hankins is old and can maybe give you 10-15 plays per game. Cowboys need a young buck DT who can seriously help in the middle and fill the void.

That's shere the likes of Dexter, Benton, Ika, etc would come in.
