Drew's career high rating was 1997 at 87.7.

He has an average of 30 attempts per game this season.

By simply having a decent game he can raise his season average to a career best 87.8 by going:

22/30 264 y 1 TD 0 INT.

Let's assume he has a ridiculous game:

27/40 394 4 TD 0 INT his rating would be 90.0 for the season, his first 90 rated season.

Bledsoe has a REAL chance to capture the season QB highest rating in his career this season.

I predict he will have a STRONG game Sunday night and it will happen!

Then he'll start working on his post season career stats the next week!! (Fingers crossed)

In 4 full seasons since leaving New England, Drew has not missed a start and has averaged 3450 yards per season with 20 TDs and 14 INTs, a rating of 82. Skills on the decline? I think not.

Keep those facts coming!! The Bledsoe bashers HATE reading the truth!! :laugh1:

One thing I do have to say about Drew is, He's a tough som-bish!

Whats truely amazing that no one is talking about is just how good he has been in only his FIRST season with a new team and new offense.I think he deserves more credit then most on here give him.Call me a homer I'm just glad he's a Cowboy.

i noticed the poll voters are almost unanimous that Drew will return next season regardless of this season - i agree. we would be worse than stupid to let this talent go, and i personally hope drew plays for us for another 3 years...

What is Danny White's record for passing yards in a season. Bledsoe has to be close.

no - White's record is like 3750

Drew would need a big game to get that

Drew is a good QB... great? No, not even close. But he is serviceable. It's too bad Adams went down because that played right into his biggest weakness-- taking sacks.

I was glad to see us use the shotgun and do some rollouts.

Danny White Stats for 1983

.............G com att % yards yd/at td int rate rush yd per td fum points

1983 DAL 16 334 533 62.7 3,980 7.47 29 23 85.6 18 31 1.7 4 10 30

Yeah right. He was such a success in Buffalo and New England. He is what he is, an immobile quarterback that needs a lot of time to make his reads. Given that time, he is a strong passer.

Please provide an example of who is great then, and while you're at it, compare his average game to Drew's: 20/35 232Y 1.3 TDs 1 INT.

Bledsoe right now has his 2nd highest ever ypa at 7.38 and comletion % at 61.3%

If he has a game where he completes 70% of his passes next week he could have his best ever % and maybe even best ever ypa.

All this behind a garbage OL. Imagine what he coulda done just behind a average line.

If Drew could wrap his mind around the short passing game and had a little more pocket presence and ability to sidestep the rush I really do think he would have gone down as one of the greats.

I don't think anyone can argue the he is not a leader or doesn't exude the confidence a QB is supposed to in the huddle. And he is world class with the deep ball.

But his ability to go through progressions quickly was always a sore spot and he shows little touch on short passes. He's almost the anti-Montana in that regard.

For what was available when we needed it he was a good pickup for us and I'm not at all disappointed in his play.

But he's shuffled between 3 teams now for a reason.

Let me ask you guys a question.

I am of the opinion that Drew Bledsoe is a very good quarterback but not a great one.

What do you remember about him?

How do you define the guy?

What big games do you remember him rallying his team in?

What major records does the guy hold?

When I think of Bledsoe, there is nothing that really comes to mind about him. Which is totally the opposite of guys like Favre, Manning, Elway, Brady, Aikman, Marino and so forth.

School me please....

Where are all the negative stats like sacks and fumbles?

Where are wins and loses?

Marino
Manning
Fouts
Moon
Stauback
Aikman
Kelley
Farve
Unitas
Bradshaw
Griese
Stabler
Young
Montana
Tarkenton
Elway
Brady
Manning

All are or were better than Bledsoe.
