Career high rating for Drew? What he needs:

Exactly!

Here is the list of QB's that I posted early whom I thought were better overall...

Marino
Manning
Fouts
Moon
Stauback
Aikman
Kelley
Farve
Unitas
Bradshaw
Griese
Stabler
Young
Montana
Tarkenton
Elway
Brady
Manning

I don't think I've disrespected Bledsoe in the least...

Dooms you have to stop that "I will only read every other Winicki post" rule... you're missing out on some important stuff. ;)

where's Blanda, Dawson, Graham, Tittle, Brocklin, Waterfield, Jurgenson, Starr, Layne, Baugh. Luckman and many, many others that should be put before Bledsoe

Whether you like or dislike Bledsoe.......I bet each of you have had this dream..... I know I have:

Whether consciously or subconscious…….the nightmare is there. WE have all had it:

Drew takes the ball from center, drops back, slaps the pigskin, slaps the pigskin again,……again, and ……..again. He’s reading the D……..no he’s reading a Stephen King novel………no it’s the D…..he’s hit in the face by a mauling DLmen…..You wake in a cold sweat…....

You may interpret this post anyway you like......but My feeling are as others ...Drew is the best QB we have had since Troy.....but his shortcomings are as advertised.......and those shortcoming scare me to death.

I see Bledsoe going back and throwing a 60 yard strike to Glenn.

Or a 40 yard crossing pattern back to orther sideline.

I also see Bledsoe getting hit a lot and getting up and back in the huddle.

I also see a lot of game winning drives.

There are Pro's and Con's to Drew.

the game plan we used against Carolina we have tried to use all year...have Bledsoe hit short slants and crossing routes... he just didn't or wouldn't do it...until he can back those LB's and Safeties off the LOS we have no chance... nor does our o-line

Drew is a good QB... great? No, not even close. But he is serviceable. It's too bad Adams went down because that played right into his biggest weakness-- taking sacks.

I was glad to see us use the shotgun and do some rollouts.

I could have sworn I read somewhere that Drew Bledsoe doesn't like playing out of the shotgun so the Cowboys probably weren't going to use it. Glad to see it being used more, they definitely need it!

Should have been using the shotgun 10 games ago.

See Dooms, we do agree. ;)

If there is anything else you're confused about don't hesitate to contact me. I'm in the book. :)

Again you act as if my post was directed at you and it wasn't.

Drew has used the shotgun throughout career.

True. I think the concern over the shotgun had more to do with the starting centers and their ability to execute the snap.

Maybe so Nors......So why have we waited until the Carolina game to take it off thr shelf?

True. The last thing we need is to give Al Johnson something else to think about.

:D........ Point taken ;)

Morning Sarge

The guys pounding Bledsoe have schooled our tackles all season long. Its not all on AL by any means.

Al has had his ups and downs as has many on the OL. However if there was 1 reason why Dallas did not use shotgun for most of the season I think that absolute has to do with Parcells not trusting the centers on the shotgun snaps.

I haven't seen anyone say it's all on Johnson.

I agree our tackles have been schooled.......but you did not answer my question....Why did we wait until the Carolina game to show the shotgun?

Was Al Johnson the reason ?......I'm just curious...help me out here.

Bill said Drew didn't like it.

My guess is after the Washington debace, Bill finally said "Tough ****. Use it."
