Hey, if they are a bad team, we will beat them and probably pretty good. If they are a good team, probably not. We are 0-2 ,againt teams with winning reacords. Our superbowl is the wildcard round. Do we get a participation trophy?
The only game the Cowboys were handled was San Francisco...but that was with an offensive line just getting together for a couple of weeks in over a year and a half.

Here, the Cowboys will score over 21 points. Carolina won't top 14 without turnovers.

Prescott has amassed 13 touchdowns from scrimmage (12 passing) to only two interceptions over the past four outings, and Lamb is arguably the best wide receiver in the league; or not arguably at all, according to him and the numbers that support his cause.

Up next comes the Carolina Panthers, who are currently in a poor situation regarding their record but who also boast the sixth-ranked pass defense. It'll quietly serve as another test for the Texas Coast offense, one that needs to continue to match serve with a stellar defense and special teams unit to string together wins in November.

"Well, you can see it coming together right before our eyes," executive vice president and director of player personnel Stephen Jones told 105.3FM the Fan this week. "Over the last three weeks, CeeDee is now the first player in NFL history to put three games in a row with 10-plus catches and 150-plus yards.
"Obviously, I think everybody is really jelling and starting to execute for what Mike McCarthy wants out of this offense.

Their latest showing came at the expense of the New York Giants, who suffered a 49-17 manhandling in Week 10 that featured seven offensive touchdowns, five by Dak Prescott alone (4 passing, 1 rushing) along with CeeDee Lamb and Brandin Cooks nearly splitting a meal of 324 receiving yards.

This will start to show us all the strength of sustainability of this current Dallas offense even as it grows.

The Panthers have the 7th ranked defense in the NFL, so the Cowboys may not just roll over them on offense. On the other hand, their offense is dead last, while the Cowboys defense is the 2nd rated defense in the NFL. So, it is a complete mismatch when the Panthers have the ball.

I still think the Cowboys offense will do fine, because they are on a tear right now. It seems that they finally adjusted to the "Texas Coast" offense McCarthy was installing over the summer, and over their past 4 games have been very good. But the offense may not put up 7 TD's like they did last Sunday. Meanwhile, the Cowboys defense could really pad their stats this week.
A trap game if ever I sensed one.

This week he, Dak Prescott, faces a struggling Carolina Panthers team whose defense is third-worst in total interceptions, third-worst in total sacks, and third-worst in points allowed.

The Cowboys running backs have their arrow pointing up currently. They are averaging 118 rush yards per game, which is 10th-most in the league. And they go up against a Panthers defense that is allowing the seventh-most yards this year, and have allowed 15 rushing touchdowns, only the Giants have allowed more.

As for the Panthers offense, they are producing the third-fewest receiving yards and fifth-fewest receiving touchdowns this year.

The Cowboys defense is allowing the second-fewest receiving yards and has sacked the opposing quarterback 26 times this season, the seventh-most in the league.

The Cowboys offensive line played a clean game last week against the Giants allowing zero sacks. Dak took a couple of shots after he threw the ball, one hit seemed to knock the wind out of him after he made the play which had everyone else watching holding their breath. The much talked about Terence Steele managed to do better allowing only two pressures all game. But what was much better from this line was the run blocking. As the game drew on against the Giants you could see the offensive line getting more push and opening up holes for guys like Pollard and Dowdle to run into. To no surprise, when the offensive line got on top of things, we saw chunk plays start to occur from the ground game. This week, this offensive line should be able to get the same success from one of the worst run-defending defensive lines the NFL has to offer. Getting into the second level and dominating there will be key to win with explosive plays.

One of Bryce Young’s issues is the amount of pressure he comes under during the game. His offensive line is allowing the fourth-most pressures this year and Young has been sacked 32 times, that’s fifth-most. The same failings on the offensive line can be seen in the run game, getting man-handled often which shuts down options for the team’s running backs. The Panthers offensive line is perhaps one of the worst run-blocking teams in the NFL.

So if they are a good defense and Dak carves them up like the last few games will more people start agreeing he has taken another step.

It is possible that this could change this game...not known now.

Third-year cornerback Jaycee Horn, who has been sidelined since suffering a serious hamstring injury in Week 1, had his 21-day activation window opened by Carolina on Monday. Wednesday marked his first practice back with the team, and he reportedly looked good despite a “limited” designation. He could be moved to the active roster at any time, maybe even prior to Sunday’s meeting with the Cowboys.

I think we saw the same thing about our OL and DL the past three games with SF. they are physical and their front 4 man handled us. we looked shell shocked this past game with them as they came out punching and we just looked like we didn't want to be there.

Yards allowed is a very misleading measure of defense.
DVOA has them 26th, 16th against the pass and 31st against the run.
They give up 2.53 points per drive, which ranks 31st. They're also 31st in takeaways per drive. The yards are low because they've only faced 81 drives, close to fewest in the league. I assume that's because they can't stop the run, and teams just run them to death (especially when they have a lead), which means long time-chewing drives.
Maybe a good game to finally get the run game going full speed. Time for them to come out of the shadows like the passing game has of late.

No.... its all a set up. If Dak carves them up then "it's because of a bad defense".

If Dak got careless and handed the ball them, "Dak got owned by a bad defense"

I'll just take the win.

Their defense is not all that. Both the Lions and the Dolphins put up 42 on them and the Seahawks put up 37.
Yep. Overall ranking I think is yards per game, right? If you have an offense with some talent, you can score on them.

Won't take any team for granted in this league, especially after the Cardinals debacle but if this team has sights set on the playoffs, absolutely have to win this game and it shouldn't be a nail biter in the process.

Carolina's defense is good against trash teams. Any team with a pulse put up around 40 points on them.

It will be considered "garbage time" from the sports scholars.

Thats an illusion. When teams know you cannot score they do not need to be aggressive.
