Carr takes paycut

What does this 3M paycut have to do with looking for DB's in the draft?

The fact that we are keeping him, and not releasing him post June 1.

Not saying we are not going to take one, we always do as our scouts love corners, but now we don't have to go we gotta have him, etc.

Is this confirmed?

Glad to see it. Also makes it much more likely we give him a light extension after this year. He wouldn't be a bad #2

It's on the Cowboys website so safe to go with it.

He will not be back next year....it's a team option. Makes no sense.

Don't think they were ever going to.

They've got two starting CB's who are scheduled to leave after 2016.

I don't see Dallas "out of" the corner market.

On top of that Carr wasn't even "average" in 2015 and Mo played worse than him.

Correct. Pretty safe bet that we are keeping Carr, Claiborne and Scandrick and have Mitchell and Olatoye. First three are pretty much roster locks so chances are there isn't room for more than one or two corners at most including UDFA. Probably a safety in the draft and a couple as UDFA.

Makes no sense? There are 5 DB's on the field the majority of the time in the NFL.

Coming from a guy that covets Ramsey. :)

Yeah that wasn't happening imo.

I flip-flop between Ramsey, Bosa and an OT.

Just no RB. :D

I have concerns about Ramsey, Bosa and spending a 4th on a RB.

The safest pick is the OT IMO.

He hasn't been a very good corner in a while. If you think they should keep paying him instead of developing a younger guy it makes no sense.

What is interesting is whether they guaranteed any of his salary to get him to cut his pay.

No worries, I covet Henry in the 2nd. I will be thrilled with Bosa/Henry.

Tunsil is the safest but you can't take a RT at #4. That might be worse then a RB.

That blows my mind. I didn't think I would ever see this. It's way good news.
